Dr. Douglas Michael Rosen

Dr. Rosen performed a colon resection on my husband 6 weeks ago. This was a serious surgery with a couple of aspects that complicated the surgery. He has recovered incredibly well with absolutely NO problems. From the moment we met him, Dr. Rosen demonstrated that he was informed about my husband's particular situation, had an excellent plan in place, and let us know about possible complications which he would mitigate through careful planning and executing of the surgery. Additionally, when we met with the colonoscopy physician prior to surgery, we found that everyone in the office highly recommended Dr. Rosen and used him themselves when anything to do with their colon needed to be addressed. To our thinking, you can get no higher recommendations than from medical staff who know the back story of a doctor's records and practices. We are extremely grateful for Dr. Rosen's work.

I was referred to Dr. Rosen by my GI Doctor and could not be more impressed with his professionalism, care and concern from our first appointment. His ability to candidly and clearly explain the treatment plan we needed to undertake, how the surgery should go and the possible alternatives that might come to light during surgery put me at ease. All of my questions were clearly explained and he even provided additional facts and explanations of things that I had not considered. I am a strong proponent of patient advocates for those that don't understand what is occurring but felt that wasn't necessary given his clear explanations of everything. At the time of surgery, Dr. Rosen once again explained everything that he was going to do and the potential for alternative actions that might come up. Surgery went great and as expected. Could not have asked for better overall care. His staff of PAs and support staff are all true professionals and conducted themselves with the utmost care and… showed true concern for my care in the same demeanor as Dr. Rosen. Rest assured that Dr. Rosen will treat you with respect, dignity and provide a level of care that is remarkable.

Getting terrifying news, "you need major surgery", Dr. Rosen managed to keep me calm. He answered all my questions, even my emails. His bedside manner is so calming. I do not want to ever have to have this surgery again but if i did I would definitely go back to Dr. Rosen.

I was diagnosed with Colo-Rectal Stage 2 cancer in 2000. Dr Rosen at that time was 5th year Resident @ Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr Rosen did my surgery Feb 2001,and did a great job. I really wish he was still in Dallas area as I would definately continue to see him for follow ups. I have been cancer free so far for 13 years. I'm sure he could not forget me as it took 3 times cancelling my surgery because I was not ready and then one day I called to let him know I was ready and he said what makes you so sure this time and I said I put it and you in Gods hands. I truly loved Dr Rosen when he took care of me and he had such good manners and very careing and considerate of his patients.

My colon cancer was found through my first colonoscopy. I was referred to Dr. Rosen, and I am so very grateful! The surgery was successful, his follow up visit in the hospital was calming and helpful, and his staff (Vickie) is so very sweet and comforting!! Charlotte Colon Rectal Surgical Staff is an amazing team who literally saved my life! I am confident that I received the best care possible from this surgeon and his team! Thank you, Dr. Rosen!!!

Long story short... He saved my life. Highly recommend.

Excellent!!!

I went to my first appointment anxious, scared and very embarrassed. Not only was I made feel comfortable, but my fears were put to rest. This was not his first rodeo, and neither was it for his wonderful nurse, Vickie. I was the only new kid there! Never was I made feel ridiculous or stupid, even though I was. I hope that I never need such services again, but should I, this is the only place I would consider. Wonderful, caring personnel.

Entire experience with this doctor, his staff and associates has been an absolute pleasure.

Dr. Rosen is very pleasant and professional. Instills confidence. As best I can tell as a patient, he seems to know what he is doing.
