Dr. Douglas Ray Schreiber, MD

Referred there for 2nd opinion, he firmly states he doesn't do 2nd opinions, I said I already paid for it so yes you will. He then explained that tearing my ankle totally apart to fix soft tissues was the only solution. He was very disgusted I was there. It was all I could do to even walk into his office with the pain I was in!! He was just an @ss, which was disappointing because he supposedly very good in his field. But he needs to be retired to that pasture.

I have another issue and Dr. Schreiber is the one for me

Dr Schreiber is one of the most competent doctors I have ever dealt with. He was quick to research (via x-rays) what my pain/arthritis problems were and suggest various approaches to handle them. He is starting with conservative methods like steroid shots which are really helping. He also recommended a physical therapy and exercise program as well as how much walking I should do. Very concerned. His explanation of what surgery might be required down the road was concise and understandable. I will have no problem putting myself in his hands when the time comes.

After reading reviews, I felt like Dr. Schreiber was the Orthopedist for me. I was still happily as how comfortable I felt being his patient, how competent he was..and how caring. Dr. Schreiber shoots straight in a loving grace-giving way. He is not pharmaceutical pill-pusher or one to rush patients into unnecessary surgery. I was pleased that Dr. Schreiber walks the same line I do between Rx, over the counter, and homeopathic help. Fortunately, or unfortunately, my condition does not require his continued care. Just know, that THIS IS YOUR MAN for the job!

you can tell he has an attitude towards anyone woth weight issues..a jerk

A superb orthopedic surgeon. I refer all my friends to him. Easy to get an appointment. Little to no wait time in office and excellent care.

Dr. Schreiber has treated me for several problems over 6 years now. I appreciate the fact that he tries to exhaust non-surgical options before choosing surgery. He takes the time to listen to my complaints and has helped me tremendously to live a less painful life.

I was referred to this doct by my primary care physician after he reviewed my MRI and I showed nerve infridgement of my sciatic nerve on my right side. I waited 3 weeks to see this doct to only be in his office long enough for the nurse to ask me if I had any xrays or Mri's done...my husband proceeded to ask if they usually have that information prior to the appt to know what is going on....well during that conversation the reception busts in the room and hands the nurse some documents which were my MRI paperwork....the nurse advises me that she needs to scan it into the computer because the doct will need to see it....uhhh ookkayyy....I would hope he does. Dr schrieber enters the room looks at me and says "why are you here today" with an absolutely blank look on his face. I said "I have a pinched sciatic nerve and I've been in severe pain for over 3 months" he said there was nothing he could do for me "you need spinal surgery, so I will refer you to another spinal surgeon"so I was in… withthe doct for a whole 7 mins and left $35 broker with a script and appt to see someone else. As other reviewer stated he had no bedside manner and offered me no help!!

He is the best. Total confidence in him.

Dr. Schreiber is a very knowledgeable and caring professional. His results and post surgery care are exceptional.
