Dr. Alexander Zaler Golbin, MD

As a 37 year old man, it took me way too long to finally look for help... And after meeting Dr. Golbin, I wish I would have been wise and strong enough to look for help earlier in my life. It is not an understatement to say that Dr. Golbin saved my life. From the moment I walked in his office he treated me like family, and that has not changed 3 years later. Not only do I look forward to my appointments with him, enjoy my time with him, but when I leave I always feel better about myself. He has been honest, kind, and compassionate…not to mention he is one of the top professionals in his field. He is wise with not only experience but up to date with current medical practices, listens well, takes you serious, and so gifted in finding the right path for YOU as an individual. Dr. Alex Goldbin was my psychiatrist for 3 years. The one good thing he did for me was prescribe Ambien for sleep. He tried many different antidepressants and bipolar meds to help me but none of them worked very well. I had just gotten out of the hospital for the last 5 days due to terrible sciatica pain and spinal stenosis pain and had an appointment the morning I got out of the hospital. My memory was faulty and I was shaky and dizzy, but I managed to drive myself to his office with my service dog. I was in a ton of physical pain and when I checked in, his receptionist told me that my appointment was the next day at the same time. Tried to explain that I had just gotten out of the hospital and didn’t think I could make it back there the following day. I pleaded with her to just let me talk to him for a few minutes(I was the only one in the waiting room) and he was sitting in his office alone.The manager came out and told me to come back tomorrow and I had to leave. I begged for a few… minutes with him and said I’d wait as long as it takes to just talk to him for a few minutes. Finally,after waiting in his office for over half an hour, they escorted me into his office. He was rude, uncaring and wrote me prescriptions that were not accurate. I left crying and 2 days later got a letter in the mail telling me he will no longer treat me because I was rude,came on the wrong day,etc.He left me hanging with no referral to a new psychiatrist . I still haven’t been able to find another psychiatrist because all of the 32 that I did call,were all not seeing new patients. I definitely would NOT recommend this doctor. His main concern is his reputation and had asked me several times to leave him a good review (which I did) But now. I’m telling you the truth about this doctor. P.S. If you’re not a Trump supporter, definitely don’t go to this man

Dr Golbin is a great professional whom you can trust with no doubts. His knowledge has no limits - thanks to his experience that includes working in different countries and environments, with variety of individuals and groups, I guarantee he is able to treat literally any psychiatric and sleep disorder. He is would listen to all your issues, asking many questions, going deep into details - to come up with the best treatment plan that helps your condition. Every time I am seen by Dr Golbin, I feel like l am the most important patient. Doctor Golbin and all office staff are very attentive and caring. Highly recommended!!!!!

There is something to be said for intuition. From the moment I met Dr. Golbin, my gut told me to stop looking, “you found him”! His style is refreshing. He doesn’t look at me as if I was a scientific puzzle to solve. Rather, he recognizes my uniqueness at the human level and builds the partnership needed to both better diagnose my condition and to give more effective feedback to me. He is always very timely with appointments. I’ve never been rushed in any way. He will be the first to tell you that he is not a mixologist at a saloon. Prescribing the most effective solutions is paramount to him, he’s not one to “see what happens”. Dr. Golbin’s tremendously vast background, thoroughness and true care for his patients make it easy for me to highly recommend him.

Found out from family member, ex patient, that he asks newer patients to give him great ratings on internet. New patients have no idea what they are in for when under his care for the long haul. What kind of professional would ask their patients to give them a great rating? Maybe a doctor who will eventually prove to be anything but professional?

Great bedside manner,very professional and patient. Always available for a crisis. Have had psychiatric problems my whole life since seeing him I am on less medication and not needed hospitalization. Wish my previous doctors could have treated my problems long ago. Forever in his debt.

Dr. Golbin is an amazing, brilliant doctor! Our teenage son was having trouble with sleep, and we were out of options for how to help him. Dr. Golbin gave us hope again! He asked questions about our son's early development and autism to get a clear and thorough picture of the case, and he knew exactly how to help. Dr. Golbin has an amazing background of experience! He is also friendly and sympathetic to our son's struggles. We feel very much at ease with Dr. Golbin and trust him to do his best in caring for our son. We always look forward to our next visit!

Finally i've found a great sleep doctor! Dr. Golbin is a brilliant, very informed sleep doctor. Actually, everyone at this facility is extremely courteous and very professional. Dr. Golbin does not have the "one size fits all approach". He takes the time to talk to you, suggest possible tests to insure a proper and exact diagnosis which provides each patient with a custom treatment plan. I can't say enough about Dr. Golbin except I wish I found him earlier. This is the first time i'm confident in getting the right help for my sleep issues!

Dr. Golbin has been treating my sleep apnea for over 8 months. He is a treasure. His diagnoses, follow-ups, and most of all, explanations of what the test results mean and how the therapies will help are easily understood. He is a brilliant doctor who relates well to his patient and gets results that are beneficial. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have been seeing Dr. Golbin for about 6 months for severe sleep apnea. He has helped me tremendously. Really knows his stuff and his staff is great.
