Dr. Anat Benjamin, MD

Go to someone else. I saw Dr. Benjamin several years ago, and at that time I found she was sweet, caring, and very knowledgeable. Everything you look for in a doctor. But that is no more. I recently moved back to the area, and made a long delayed Pandemic appointment. On the day of my appointment, her office staff called me, and cancelled my appointment. I recently turned 65, and have both regular Medicare, and employer provided Health Insurance. It seems Dr. Benjamin’s billing department found that both Medicare and my Private Insurance show up as the Primary Insurance carrier. Karen told me it is their policy to cancel appointments if there are any “glitches” in the Insurance. This includes having two insurance companies, that both cover the visit. I contacted my carrier and submitted a Coordination of Benefits form to correct this, which is being processed. Today, I called her office, and they cancelled my appointment a second time. Dr, Benjamin: your staff is treating me in an… uncaring and unprofessional manner. This is a VERY bad reflection on your commitment and integrity as a physician. Your staff outright told me your main (only?) concern is to get paid without any delays, on every visit. Fix this, or stop practicing medicine. Is your only concern making money???

A 79 year old senior citizen and all she could talk about was I will not see you till you pay the co-pay. the senior said my son will pay.. please call him or forward to him. I will charge an extra $20 fee if I have to forward it to your son she says. and she said I will not see you till you pay the $40 copay. I do not recommend anyone to go see this doctor... all she cares about is money . not the patient. Her attitude is very bad and she is very arrogant.. she doesn't respect senior citizens. she forgot where she came from and is obviously not in the profession to help people.
