Dr. Barry Alan Mandell, MD

The only negative thing I have is the wait time to see technician is long. Little wait time for Dr. Mandell.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Mandell. This is a doctor that isn't in it for the money he truly cares about the well- being of his patients. I can honestly say I've never known a more caring and professional doctor! Dr Mandell is truly one of a kind!

Bottom line - Dr Mandell physically saved my eye after I lost vision due to a stroke. His expertise and professionalism are tops. I also appreciated his straightforward manner in providing information so I could make cogent choices re treatment options. Great doc and a solid guy.

Dr. Mandell really is an excellent doctor. He and his staff manage the appointments well. I have never had a long wait. The first time I went to the office I was practically blind. It has been a long road and I'm still notdone but, now because of Dr. Mandell I'm back at work and have some normalcy back in my life. I will forever be grateful and indebted to him.

What a wonderful Doctor! Excellent bedside manner. Thorough and more than willing to sit down and explain everything you want to know to understand the problem and how he is going to resolve it.

Dr. Mandell is a great doctor and his staff are the nicest people in the world. I travel 2 hours each way to go to him.

Dr. Mandell is an awesome doctor. He did surgery after surgery to fix my son's eyes. He is great with kids and is the best doctor that we have ever had. My son wouldnt talk or even get close to any other doctor after all of his surgeries but he would run to Dr. Mandell and hug him.. Overall love him and he is great at what he does..

To me Dr. Mandell and his staff is how I believe a doctor and their medical office should operate. The receptionists, always at least 2, greet the customers with courtesy and warmth. The Little Neck Road office is of sufficient size to everyone who has an appointment that day, amenities (coffee, water, etc.) are always available and refilled when needed. Dr. Mandell and his assistants take their time with the appointees by asking questions and answering questions. In my opinion you are never rushed yet those who follow you are not delayed more than 15-20 minutes from their scheduled app't. The one thing Dr. Mandell does that I've noticed others do not do is that he annotates his notes from your visit immediately at the conclusion of your visit thus making sure all pertinent info is documented vice possibly forgetting an item or two.
