I am a 80 yr old male, who had eye surgery for cataracts & trifocal lens (IOL) implants, beginning on Jun 17th 2021 by Dr Barry Schechter. Six weeks later, I am totally pleased with the work that he performed. I can now see clearly on all levels, closeup, mid-range, and distance, independent of wearing external eye glasses. He is an outstanding confident ophthalmological surgeon, who assured me at all times that there would be no problem respecting my wishes during the surgery and healing process. In addition, his medical assistants were excellent towards me throughout the process along with all of the his other office staff. The staff is wonderful and the surgery was painless and easy!

I had a chelazion (bump on my eye lid) that was getting larger and larger. Another doctor recommended Dr. Schechter and I went to him. He was terrific! He gave me several treatment options and I picked the least invasive one. It didn't work for me and so I went back to have him remove the bump. I was scared stiff to have a needle come that close to my eye (to deaden the area so he could remove the chelazion), but he was patient, gentle and an expert. I didn't feel a thing. Staff was great too. He's a gem.
