Dr. Brett Steven Rankin, MD

Excellent clinician who has treated me for 15 years for sinus issues. Helped me avoid repeat sinus surgery recommended by another ENT, by giving me a regimen.

Do not listen to the comments below! Dr. Rankin is a FANTASTIC otolaryngologist who treats his patients like family. You can ask anyone in the Southern Maine area, and they will tell you Dr. Rankin is incredible. He listens, and will treat your issues with the utmost care. He is hands down the nicest human being on this planet. I would recommend him a million times over!

dr. Rankin seems to treat his job as a flirtation and easy money. if real problem is at hand it can turn very bad for the patient.! beware...

I was mistreated by a personable Dr. that lied and held care after surgery. he played me like abused child. he botched 2 bio.'s and when cancer was found he did not disclose the true nature of it's severity. i did not hold this against him. I continued to see and he was nice but unprofessional person in staff(and most were great) made it strange . later a breach of privacy , by another provider who contacted him altered my treatment to stop all preventive care. but he never disclosed then left me with a bad file . that he professed never happened till i got the Doctored file and saw the wrong . this is hard some have great treatment by him? . It is an average % confronted with a mistake and this man will neglect your health to cover his tracks. i wonder what personality disorder or what else this Dr. has to hide? I write this for I see another who has come forward. I would stand up for the Dr. if u said this to me at first and for years after, i was to weak and in pain to do… anything. i will suffer till death for this man's neglect and deception. i hope this helps he is the local neck DR.and is the only way for some. some times what is easily taken cared for by any Dr., Mr. Rankin puts his charm on and it is taken as a caring personal touch . my opinion is it's the mighty $ that drives this provider. good luck to all with life changing illness. i hope my speaking out will help someone .But i wont know. I wish i never got treatment. i pray when i cant change something . I pray every day i never met Dr.Rankin.

Top notch. Spent so much time explaining how things works when other doctors just got me in and out quickly. Operated on my thyroid and it went great. Very compassionate and helpful.

Dr Rankin caused sever nerve damage to my right arm during a simple lymph node biopsy leaving me disabled and unable to work. A second biopsy left me with incomplete information to start my cancer treatment

After having suffered with Sinus issues for years and suffered many ENT doctors, I finally feel that there is hope with Dr. Rankin...he not only gets what you are suffering he listens and he cares....I fee like I have won the lottery and that finally this issue will be under control with his care. The staff in that office is also a mirror image of him, they are so nice ..and when you call into the office to update your condition, they call back the same day with a resolution.....this is too good to be true.
