Dr. Carl Dilella, DO

I went for pain in my shoulder. xrays were done. it was evident immediately that i had no cartilege left betwen the shoulder bones. Dr Dilella spent more than adequate time discussing the options that I had. He offered to give me a shot and recommended that I not have surgery until I started to have significant pain. Definitely thinking about me and not the money. Sounds like the people posting negative reviews saw a different doctor than I did.

Upon hearing I needed shoulder surgery, I was an emotional wreck. Dr. Dr. DiLella and his staff spent incredible amount of time with me and answered all questions. Surgery was more difficult than he had anticipated but he handled everything perfectly. Staff support during my recovery was above and beyond.

Went to see him for a second opinion. Judging by the comments I won't be using him but I would never allow this guy to do surgery on me. He made me very uncomfortable and talked like a robot with fake expressions. No thanks...

Had two knees done and because of abnormal rotation of implants had to have both knees done again. He never even tried to find out what was wrong but just dismissed me out of hand. Told me it must be my back causing the problem.

I came in with hand pain. Left with hand pain and no recommended treatment for my trigger finger, pain, and mallet finger. No follow-up appointment. I was told to buy a brace for my mallet finger. Had to do research on the Internet to discover what kind of brace I needed and order on-line. In the meantime I made a brace from a cardboard nail file and taped to my finger. I was on my own.

This office is the worst. He is only out for money. He doesn't care about patient care or how a patient feels. This Dr. saw me as a hospital recommendation. Before I made my first appt I asked if they accepted my insurance and was told yes, so I made my appt for a knee issue. I was told I could not return to work until I had a MRI. The facilities that I was recommended too did not take my insurance so I ended up paying $450 for MRI. Dr. Dilella and his office staff would not fill out my FMLA forms until I had this MRI. Now I have 3 kids and can not work without a Dr's note and I have been out for 3 weeks already because of this Dr. So after all of this and having to barrow $450 for a MRI, I finally get my follow up appt to go over MRI results. I get to the office and I am told that he doesn't accept my insurance so I have to pay another $107 for the visit. Now this office NEVER once in 3 weeks told me that this Dr. only seen me because the hospital recommended me. WHY DID HE SEND FOR… MRI $450 CASH IF HE COULD NOT GO OVER RESULTS TO CLEAR ME FOR WORK. I THINK HIS OFFICE OR VERI INCOMPATANT. DO NOT USE THIS DR.

Did not spend enough time. Cortisol shot did not work. Way too many Xrs. 800 us charges.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Dilella. I'm a new patient. I was about to travel overseas and had a bursitis on my elbow which he advised me about, quickly aspirated it, and gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way. He was thorough, professional, personable and knowledgeable. I found his office to be equally professional and efficient. What more could I ask?
