Dr. Talmo has replaced both knees for me, couldn't be happier with the results.

Dr. Talmo must be a very good Dr. To operate at the Baptist. But he comes across as a arrogant Dr. He has no bed side manner. When I asked him to see what type of Hip replacement he would use on me all he showed me was a plastic model kind. He wouldn’t go over to another room and get it and show it to me. No sense of humor at all. With that said I would not use him. I have to like a Dr. Who is going to touch me. Not for me. Best of luck too all.

Dr. Talmo performed a total hip replacement for me. Five weeks later I have almost complete mobility (and the last stiffnesses are rapidly improving), no pain, and with no restrictions on movement. I also very much appreciated the care taken by his office and New England Baptist Hospital, both as to the procedure, and for their diligence concerning COVID-19.

Dr. Talmo performed a right knee replacement on me 6 years ago. I just had my six year review with him and he was just as interested in my case today as he was six years ago. He is a talented orthopedic surgeon who really knows his stuff. I have no pain, excellent extension and excellent flexion. What more could one ask. A wonderful and caring doctor. Keep up the great work.

Could not be happier with Dr. Talmo. He replaced my left hip in an outpatient procedure at a Salem, NH surgical center -- spinal and sedative, no general anesthesia. Initial consultation was informative and Dr. Talmo is a good listener, laying out the options and what to expect. His office is responsive and helpful with scheduling and procedures. The surgery and recovery were amazingly easy, as Dr. Talmo thought they would be. Surgery on Monday started at 9am, walking with crutches at 11:30, out the door at 12:30. By Saturday I was able to walk a mile and a half with a cane. Back at work, cane-free, two weeks after surgery, and my co-workers all wanted my doctor's name. Never needed pain meds stronger than Tylenol. Now six weeks out, all swelling is gone and there's nothing other than the thin scar to remind me I ever had surgery.

Seems to be a compitent surgeon but spends very little time prior to surgery. Does really not want to see you after surgery. Has little bedside manner. Not a good listener. Likes to hear his own opinions. After care is lacking. Would never recommend him

Liked that Dr. Talmo is knowledgeable on the anterior approach in hip replacement. Perfectionist!

I had a total hip replacement by Dr. Talmo and I cannot say enough about what a positive experience I had. I could barely walk before surgery and literally a week later I felt pain free and now have total range of motion.

Recovery took around 6 weeks the first time, 5.5 weeks the second time.

Dr Talmo fantastic had a total knee replacement it was complicated In just 6 week flexion 125 and 0 straight Walking a mile in 16 min and riding a stationary bike 30 min No more PT required and feeling great Thank You Dr Talmo And NEB Staff
