Dr. Claudia Chemas Ravins, MD

After being referred by my mother in law Iris, who works in the medical field and refers all her patients to Dr. Ravins, I really enjoyed meeting and being treated by the doctors from this practice. Sweet, professional and over all extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy (Dr., Stevens and Dr. Mark and Dr. Olkowski ). However, the staff is horrific, a true nightmare that unfortunately reflects so poorly on the practice and the doctors here. In 2018, I was pregnant with baby no. 3, and I was looking forward to Dr. Steve delivering my baby, since again his professionalism, sweet and encouraging words and knowledge is what I wanted through my labor. Like any normal mother I wanted my newborn baby to come into this world with someone I knew, not a complete stranger, who didn't even want to deliver my baby. 1 hour before my actual labor when I was in the car ride on the way to the hospital, I called Raveco to alert them that I was on my way to the hospital with contractions that were 2… minutes apart, that had begun about 8 hours prior. I told them this was baby no. 3 so I knew what labor was and if they could please inform Dr. Steven to meet me at the hospital or at least let him know. "We have to wait for the nurse to call the Dr. to confirm that your really in labor" that's what I was told by Maria when I called (its been sometime, but I'm pretty sure that was her name). Needless to say, I got to the hospital I was 8 cm and in complete labor. My baby was brought into this world about 20 minutes after entering the hospital by a Dr. who asked me when she saw me in pain and my baby's head sticking out, if I could wait to push, since my doctor was not there yet. Dr. Steve did show up about 10 minutes after my daughter was born, therefore had he been informed by the front desk instead of waiting for the nurse to call, he would have made it on time. I gave the practice another shot, because like I said the doctors are great and should not be blamed for incompetent staff. However, I had another unpleasant experience when I had to reach out to Carolina for a referral. I'm a 28-year-old patient who has just been told she has to get imaging for her breast. You can already imagine how frantic, worrisome, and emotional I am. I called Carolina for 3 days since the specialist needed a referral and they still did not obtain one after multiple attempts. Carolina kept telling me she would call me back, that she had to call someone else for it, that there's no request for it (mind you, I had called for 3 days requesting it, yet there was no request). Every time I called, she had another story. So, Friday (1 day before my appt which was on a Saturday) I called her at 1 PM where she told me that she would call me back soon. After not hearing back I called her back at 4:40PM since they close at 5PM and my appointment was the next day. I was in all my right to have a stern voice when I asked why I still did not have my referral for my appointment that was the next day, I had been chasing this for days and I asked why she did not call me back. She replied so frustrated and angry, blaming another lady, saying its not her responsibility to get this referral for me, screaming at me for calling over and over. She said that it was not her problem that I had an appointment the next day and that I did not have the referral and lastly hanging up the phone on me. Will not be going back nor referring anyone to this place.

My experience was terrible. Dr.Claudia ravins made me cry, rushing to tell me conclusions without doing any previous medical tests. She told me that because I had fibroids and I was pregnant, my baby was at risk and I had to take multiples procedure and multiples tests each visit in addition to the routine examination to see how the baby was. When I wanted to talk to her about my worries, doctor ravins told me to answer her what she asked me. She did a test where she inserted a camera into my vagina but she put a glove on the camera before inserting it into my vagina. This test have been done to me by other doctors and they never put a glove on the camera to introduce it to my vagina. One of her secretaries was rude and negligent in sending my medical prescriptions to a pharmacy that did not have my medication, although I called her and I told her that the pharmacy did not have my medication and I asked her to send another prescription to another pharmacy. The secretary ignored my… request and made me wait about an hour and a half to send my medical prescription. My question is: Why so multiples procedure and multiples tests each visit, to concentrate on profits and to ignore patients completely. Is clear not ability, not knowledge, no love to profession, no desire to learn, no desire to help patients. Dr. Ravins does not care about the patient's well-being. She only cares about how to get money from your health insurance.

i had an appointment with Claudia Ravins last year in her clinic Raveco in Woodside, i really don't recommend this place and this doctor to anyone the attention of the doctor is very poor seems that she doesn't even care the patient was horrible go there anyways i had an abnormal pap smear test... she told me that was some fungus and decide to ignore the abnormal test after that she didn't suggest anything not even a colposcopy just in case. my symptoms get worse and i decide to find an other gynecologist i had thetest again was abnormal so he tell me how nesesary was the colposcopy i was agree with that and was positive to cervical cancer and and other opinion just reconfirmed... but for Claudia Ravins i just had fungus and she's going to see me next year plus she tell me if is an abnormal test i don't have to worry I'm too young to have cancer

Best ob/gyn in the country

Just recently had an appointment To see Dr. C. Ravens after waiting 5 months for the appointment. Waited more than 3 hours for someone to see me, although my appointment was with Dr. Ravens I was told she does not see patient's unless they are pregnant. Go figure. will never go back there again. They treat their patient's as an assembly line. SO SAD SHE HAS FORGOTTEN THE HYPOCRITICAL OATH.

She is a terrible Dr. She made me wait 4hours to see her!!!! she is rude, she gives out medication as if its candy and she doesn't follow up or listen to patient concerns.
