Absolutely the best surgeon. I have had 6 prior joint surgeries before Dr. Chan performed a TKR. He explains in detail with great bedside manners what to expect and the recovery. He always has a smile on his face which is refreshing. I wouldn't choose anyone else for my TKR. As we all know, recovery heavily depends on the patient, but Dr Chan will do his part surgically and masterfully.

Dr. Chan has an excellent plan for you and your recovery! He uses the least evasive approach, which helps you to have a quick recovery, not much pain, not much scarring and the least muscle damage. His protocol includes a pre-op exercise plan which helps when you start therapy the day after surgery along with keeping good circulation. I didn't need use of the Walker after one week, therapy went very well. Dr Chan has his own unique protocol with anesthesia, which is a lighter version, i remained very clear headed waking up in recovery and most patients leave the same day like I did. Everyone was so nice at the Hospital and his office staff as well. I surely chose the right Orthopedic hip surgeon with Dr. Chan and I hope you do too.

Dr. Daniel Chan made me feel very comfortable from my first visit. He listened to all my questions and concerns and answered them all. He gave complete information on what knee replacement surgery entails. He was clear and honest about recovery time and pain. Too often, doctors sugar coat recovery and patients are surprised when it isn’t that way. I knew from before surgery what to expect and what I needed to do for a successful recovery. My 90 year old Dad had his knee replaced by Dr. Chan. I can't say enough great things about the whole experience. Dad no longer needs a walker. He's dancing at "happy hour" at his ALF. He has a new lease on life! Dr. Chan is not only a gifted surgeon, he's so personable on top of it. He took his time and explained everything that surgery would entail. He didn't push surgery on us at all. He just gave us all the information and said to go home and discuss it and let them know. This was the best medical experience we could have wished for.

Dr Chan and his staff were wonderful to work with from start to finish for my hip replacement! After consulting 2 other specialists, he listened and answered my questions throughly. The minimally invasive approach had me walking with a walker 2 hours after surgery and without a walker 2 weeks post op. Worth the 2 hour drive from SWFL and I'd hop on a plane in a minute if I had to!
