Dr, Sugar is excellent! His office is very welcoming and all the staff are warm, informative and very helpful. When Dr Sugar enters the room to see you, there is no feel of any urgency. He takes a lot of time to explain your issues and the solutions. Another huge positive factor about his office is when you call them, someone answers the phone quickly and can answer your questions or make you an appointment. I would highly recommend Dr Sugar.

Dr. Sugar and his staff are the kindest, most helpful people in any Doctor's office. They care about the whole person, and take the time to know you. I have never gone in the office since the first time, that they did not know my name!! Peaceful atmosphere. Amazing!!

Dr. Sugar is the best! He was extremely patient and informative in describing my knee injury and provided great surgical care. I am back to participating in all of my previous athletic endeavors. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Sugar for years and I have made many referrals to friends with great response and gratitude. Dr. Sugar recently referred me to to a specialist who was able to accurately diagnose a torn tendon. Dr. Andrew Mundy, Dr. Sugar's Associate, who practiced with internationally recognized orthopoaedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, performed remedial surgery and I am currently recovering in Dr. Sugar's Physical Therapy practice headed by Dr. Frank Freijomil. I am extremely pleased with the seamless treatment and follow-up. Additionally, all the staff are extremely helpful and accomodating. This is the best medical practice I have ever had the pleasure (??) of encountering !!!

We've had two of our family members seen in this practice in 12 months (my daughter broke her foot and had numerous visits, and myself today), so I've been here total of at least 7 appointments with 3 practitioners and probably 4 intake nurses (I didn't request Dr. Sugar specifically but I could have if I wanted to). While unfortunate events brought us there, I'm so glad we chose them!! Related to both injuries, we got into our first appointments quickly, within a day or two. Every visit was with caring and warm staff that respected the patient and parent. No discounting the pain or anything condescending as I've experienced in the past. The PA's, ARNP's and Dr. Sugar were patient with us every time, and explained everything we asked. No rushed appointments and no long waits. Today I went in for myself after a back injury and was sure I had broken ribs. When she came back in and said nothing was broken, I worried my experience might be discounted. However, she reassured me that tissue… damage, bruising, and disc injury can be just as painful as a break. I felt reassured and relieved not just because it wasn't broken, but also because I didn't feel judged for coming in when it wasn't broken. Since I was there with X-Rays already, I asked her to take a peek at my shoulder (since I've had on-and-off-pain for a while) and she quickly discovered my shoulder pain was related to being hyperflexible (double jointed) and gave me exercises to prevent further pain. I was actually impressed with how fast she figured this out and showed me that most people's shoulders do not stretch that far (40 years and I didn't know that). We got answers, felt listened to and respected, and never felt rushed. Thanks!

This review comes from several experiences roughly over a 10 yr span not just one occasion…. Dr Sugar is by far the absolute best doctor you will ever find! He is also the smartest Doctor I have ever met! He is professional, polite, and cares about you as his patient. He wants to make sure you have a full healthy recovery. He pin pointed my knee issue immediately and we have taken the proper measures to heal it. I am on the road to recovery! His staff from Mrs. Stephanie, the front desk ladies, the nurses, and including his 2 P.A.’s are very knowledgeable, polite, and caring at all times. They make sure they explain everything they are doing and educating you along the way so you are never left in the dark. If its a question they don't have an answer to they get the correct one or ask doc. You are always greeted with a smile and treated like family not just another patient or dollar sign. You could not ask or find a better Doctor, surgeon, or group of people in my opinion!

Dr Sugar listened to me carefully, diagnosed my condition plainly, explained my options, then guided me to the best solution. The office runs smoothly. The staff is first rate. Highest recommendation.

I went to Dr. Sugar complaining of intense pain in my left knee, he advised that I have an MRI to determine exactly what the problem was...it turn out to be a tear in the medial meniscus and he advised it be repaired by arthroscopic surgery. I had the procedure on Tuesday, experienced significant discomfort the following day, walked with the help of crutches for 3 days. Today (Friday) I packed away my crutches and started putting full weight on my knee. I cannot compliment enough Dr. Sugar and his Staff for the amazing care they provided me with during this time. This office is superbly efficient, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Highly recommended.

Think twice before using the office. I am so angry. I saw Meghan Thompson, one of the PAs, about my knee injury. She told me to try physical therapy. She did say that I could do an MRI, but made it seem like that shouldn't be the first option, so I trusted her. I ended up calling back and asking for an MRI because I was in so much pain. Meghan called me with my MRI results and told me that I had a bone bruise and to use crutches for 5 weeks and they'd follow up. I completed 5 weeks on crutches and I never received a follow up at all. I figured they got busy and forgot about me. I am still having pain months later and saw a new orthopedic doctor who got a copy of my MRI results. He informed me that the MRI shows that I have a fracture and the radiologist reading states that I have a fracture. No one from Dr. Sugar's office told me that I had a fracture and no one followed up with me after the 5 weeks. I don't understand why this would happen. If I was treated properly from the… beginning I'm sure I would have healed by now. I'm not sure what good it does Dr. Sugar's office to provide incorrect information to patients about their MRI results. Not to mention she just told me about the bone bruise over the phone and told me no need for an appointment. A fracture is obviously much more significant than a bruise. That's just not OK. You'd think that Dr. Sugar would confer with his PA's about MRI results, etc. I paid for an MRI to find out what was wrong and trusted this office to help me and they failed me.

Tripping over a concrete barrier I managed to fall and injure by elbow. It required surgery, a metal plate and screws. I was fortunate enough to be treated by Dr. Sugar and members of his staff.He and they are amazing. They manage to be professional and personable at the same time. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They really make you feel like family. My elbow is fully recovered :-) Rhana Bazzini
