Dr. David Richard Vandersteen, MD

Treated our son since birth for kidney reflux. He’s the most amazing Doctor. Also very personable and good sense of humor. As good as it gets. 100% recommend.

Dr. Vandersteen is not only meticulous in his care and diagnosis, he cares about his patients. They are more than a bladder and more than a complex case, they are people that have feelings and he recognizes this. He has approached us with our complex kiddo with compassion, empathy and a steady confidence in his ability to help us care for her. He includes the entire family in his recommendations and is just an overall wonderful specialist.

He goes up and above to make my child feel comfortable, to ensure every question is answered and that he has carefully explained any concerns or recommendations he has. He works with the parents to discuss a plan specific to your child. Appointments were timely but getting calls returned was a bit of a challenge.

We have had multiple appointments at the Mpls office and each time, regardless of time of day, we have had to wait more than an hour after our scheduled time. It is really frustrating when you are trying to keep your child content.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Vandersteen!! He is phenomenal!

Dr. Vandersteen is without a doubt the most caring Doctor it has ever been my pleasure to meet. He diagnosed an inherited problem in one son and took the time to ask about the other, who also ended up being affected. Hr performed SX on both and they had excellent outcomes. He is warm and caring and called several times to follow up. I only wish he saw adults, as well!

Dr. Vandersteen is an awesome doctor. He spends time with his patients and makes sure they are comfortable. He is knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommended him.

Dr. Vandersteen is an excellent doctor. He made my daughter feel comfortable. I must say that I was a little upset because my appt was at 2:15 and did not get seen until 3:15 and the staff did not say anything to me about my wait...I had to go up to them after about 30-35 minutes. Because Dr. Vandersteen is such a great doctor, I will continue to go there.
