Dr. Adler is an excellent doctor who cares about his patients. I have been going to him for many years. Because of his excellent care, I have been able to keep a serious condition under control and live my life to the fullest.

Dr. Douglas Adler did a wonderful job.

This was my first colonoscopy experience, but at 57 I knew I needed it done. I had some trepidation going into the whole process, but mostly uncertainty. But after leaving Dr Adler's office I was pretty amazed at how easy it all was. From the time I walked in to a warm and genuine greeting from one of the nurses (I think her name was Jackie) to the time I walked out a couple of hours later, it was stress-free, painless, and comfortable. Including the front desk person and Dr Adler I believe there were five people I interacted with during the procedure. Each of them was very helpful, making me comfortable and putting my mind at ease. When I was brought into the room for the procedure, the nurse anesthetist (Nikki or Nicole) explain what she would be doing, and after administering the anesthesia I think I was out within 30 seconds and "came to" after a very deep and satisfying sleep. There were no complications during the procedure, images were shown of a few polyps that were found,… and I was told that I would get news of the test results soon afterward. While some people have reported being a bit loopy afterward, I felt no odd side effects and had a pretty normal day from there on. They asked if I wanted a follow-up "well-being check" which I declined, since everything had gone so well. The office did follow up with a phone call with tested results in a reasonable time. In summary, my experience with Dr. Adler and his staff was really "first rate."

Dr Adler misdiagnosed me on follow appointment I had with him after he performed colonoscopy that caused me pain at anal area. He diagnosed it as a fissure when I visited him for this issue after colonoscopy but another doctor suggested that pain comes from spasm of pelvic floor muscle which causing pain and it happened next day after Dr Adler performed colonoscopy on me. I suspect that he was careless by either inserting or pulling his surgical tube and that's what caused spasm in the muscle. I'm scheduled to go now for therapy and if that doesn't help, the next step would be is to do Botox injection to paralyze damaged muscle to get rid of pain. I learned my lesson for the rest of my life and that's to choose Doctors carefully by analyzing their reviews and background but for now I'm just hoping that I'll be able to overcome this annoying pain issue in the near future. I'm writing this after over 2 months in pain from colonoscopy screening test performed by Dr Adler.

I've had colonoscopy done for 3rd time in my life and while 2 previous times everything went normal, this time when a procedure was performed by Dr Adler, next day I felt pain/discomfort by annal area and rectum and I confirmed this with nurse from a center where procedure was done when I received a follow up call next day. I thought it would go away but it didn't and I scheduled appointment with Dr. Adler few days later to have him look and see what was wrong. At appointment, he checked me and said that everything was just fine and that I had nothing to worry about and he also became a bit defensive by saying that he didn't anything to me except for inserting a flex tube which was normal. I left but pain, burning and discomfort persisted and I called him again a week and half later and made another appointment to see him. At this appointment the first thing he said was:"I'll try to help you with your unique case". When you see a doctor especially when you had absolutely no issues… before colonoscopy he performed and by the way according to results of it no real issues either, you start wondering why are you in so much pain and you definitely would like to hear a little more confidence than this from a your doctor than saying "I'll try to help you" especially that after procedure he performed, it's 1st time in your life you started experiencing pain and burning in the area where he entered his surgical instrument. When he checked me this time, he said that he now recognized where pain comes from - a fissure which he said potentially happened from PREP taken before procedure. That's totally not the case because I was up at 4 am to finish PREP morning of procedure and didn't experience any paint until after procedure. He prescribed me cream to treat fissure but failed to explain how to apply it, when to come back to see him if issue doesn't go away, etc. I'm still in pain and hoping that one day it will go away but as far as Dr Adler while I'll not challenge his experience and expertise because I have no grounds for it, I can say that he is careless, doesn't hear patient, doesn't ask or answer enough questions and certainly doesn't feel like he is really interested to help you.

Dr Adler and his staff are incredibly friendly, warm and informative. The procedure performed was done perfectly and painlessly.The office staff and follow up are simply the best. The attention to my individual needs was refreshing and unusual.

The staff from start to finish was exceptional. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, courteousness and friendliness of each and every person I dealt with. Thank you for making this unpleasant, routine procedure very manageable.
