Dr. Douglas Stanford Kaplan, MD

I see Dr. Kaplan for continuing care of my glaucoma. He takes the time to explain medications, procedures and/or any concerns I have. He performed cataract surgery on both my eyes successfully. I highly recommend Dr. Kaplan

I never write reviews, but I feel positively compelled to write this after helping my mother through a terrible loss of vision in one eye. Terrible bedside manner and disinterested in helping my mother understand why she had lost vision in her eye after a procedure for cataract removal at Chicago Cornea. Do not use this doctor. I can not speak to other doctors at Chicago Cornea, but he should not be your pick. He was terribly rude, dismissive, unhelpful, and wrong about what was going on with my mother after a 3 + hour wait. After HOURS of waiting, the appointment lasted five minutes. He left her in tears and handed her a pamphlet as he walked out the door - he said he had other patients to visit. Your vision is too important to risk, please spare your sight and do not see this doctor. Find someone else for your eyes-your vision is too important to risk.
