Dr. Gregg Kevin Satow, MD

Dr, Satow ordered MRI of my severe knee injury. He described in detail my torn meniscus, arthritic changes and effects of previous injuries. He wisely recommended PT, and that surgery be considered only if difficulty persisted for months. I've recovered very well without surgery. You can expect highly knowledgeable, clear information and considerate treatment.

I had a difficult and complex hip problem. I couldn't walk and was in extreme pain. After looking for a long time for a doctor who could accurately diagnose me, I found Dr. Satow, who performed my surgery. It was a complete success, and now, at age 71, I'm stronger than ever, walking and hiking, and pain free. He's not only careful, thorough, talented and an incredible diagnostician-- he's also caring, compassionate and patient. I couldn't have chosen better and highly recommend this doctor to anyone considering orthopedic surgery.

I just had a knee procedure done with Dr. Satow at the Monterey Peninsula Surgery Center. What an easy, calming, first-rate experience I have had! From my MRI to follow up office visits to surgery. I am so impressed with Dr. Satow, his Staff and his recommendations! I will recommend Dr. Satow to anyone and everyone.

My mother is 73 and recently had knee arthroscopy performed by Dr. Satow. She is unable to speak English well and I live in Los Angeles so this process was stressful on multiple levels. In retrospect, we were blessed to have selected Dr. Satow. His office is clean, his professional staff is amiably supportive and, most importantly, Dr. Satow is a genuinely caring and decent human being. His initial medical counseling was always focused on advising on ways to improve my motherâ??s knee with minimal surgical methods - in fact, being an old-country woman, she wanted him to immediately do full knee surgery to â??make the pain go awayâ?? but he gently advised and guided that arthroscopy and pain management therapy would be the prudent course once he analyzed the condition. I also want to note what a noble character Dr. Satow is endowed with. I had driven up north 300 miles on a Thur to accompany my mother for the surgery to be done on Friday morning. However, I received a call later that… Thur that an unfortunate passing in Dr. Satowâ??s immediate family occurred that same day which would necessitate his medical schedule to be understandably altered for the immediate future. The changes obviously would include rescheduling my motherâ??s surgery. We were bummed about the timing but empathetic of Dr. Satowâ??s own family situation so we understandably accepted our fate. Well, Dr. Satow literally went above and beyond the call of duty for us as he told his staff to keep my motherâ??s surgery on the schedule for the next morningâ?¦I am fairly certain that few doctors would have done that for us - and understandably so given the circumstances. The surgery that day was a success for my mother, and I also appreciated Dr. Satow conferencing me onto his cell phone for the check-up meetings that my mother has had with him since the surgery. He is truly a decent man.

Gregg Satow is an outstanding doctor along with being of service to the local community by serving as the team doctor for both the local high school and community college football program. He has operated on my six times with amazingly great results. I lead an active life because of his good work.

Had two different operations by this doctor (a complex shoulder procedure, and later, a simpler knee operation). Both turned out PERFECT. Tremendously skilled. Knows exactly what to do and does it. Very mature and pays attention to the patient concerns. I wish every doctor were this good!

I could not have asked for a better experience with an orthopedic surgeon and his staff. Office staff is friendly and prompt- reminder phone calls for appointments are a plus. Dr. Satow takes the time to really speak to you and find out what is causing the issue. I'd had the surgery before on my other knee- the results of this one are 100 times better than my previous one with a military surgeon. My only regret is that when we move back to the east coast, Dr. Satow won't be there!

After a snowboarding accident and less than satisfactory knee surgery/experience with a previous doctor, I was referred to Dr. Satow. Dr. Satow is knowledgeable in all aspects and carefully explained his observations, plans, and goals. I was comforted to know that I had a doctor who knew what he was doing and knew how to treat me as a frustrated and hopeless patient. After a bad reaction to the previous arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Satow recommended that I stay overnight in the outpatient center. The surgery with Dr. Satow was a great success, but the recovery from the minute I woke up to now, 6 weeks later, has been incredible. Dr. Satow had a surgery immediately following mine but made sure to come in and check on me before leaving for the day--something that all doctors do not do. I was never promised anything that he could not deliver; together we have set reasonable goals between each visits, and with Dr. Satow's help, I am meeting each of our goals. I am so thankful to Dr. Satow and… his entire staff for making my second surgery and overall experience a pleasant and positive one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
