Dr. Gregory Keith Harmon, MD

I would absolutely NOT recommend this practice. They performed glaucoma testing on me without my consent (I was supposed to receive a routine eye exam only). When I questioned the Billing Department about all the charges on my statement, they claimed I indicated "family history of glaucoma" on my medical forms. I knew this was not true and I requested to see my medical forms. As expected, the forms did not indicate "glaucoma" anywhere. I feel I was taken advantage of as a new patient and I should have known better, but I was at a disadvantage because I have not received an eye exam in over 10 years. On top of it all, I am in my mid-20s and my vision is 20/20. Do not come here unless you want to wait a long time to for an appointment and be treated as just another patient #.

Dr Harmon is an excellent eye Doctor. He is very thorough in his examinations. His efficient staff does all the necessary eye tests before he actually sees you, which facilitates a smooth flow of his patients. I have been his patient for more than 10 years and am completely satisfied. I recently had another successful surgery performed by him. I know Dr. Harmon for many years as he was my mom's doctor. When I was diagnosed with glaucoma I knew I wouldn't let anyone else treat me. I trust Dr. Harmon completely and entirely. I would and have recommended him to many others.

My mother went to Dr Harmon for cataract surgery 6 months ago and got a bad eye infection as a result. The infection is still lingering after many post op visits to him.

I was referred to Dr. Harmon for cataract surgery on right eye after a botched job on left eye at Harkness Eye Pavillion (Harkness allows students to operate on Medicare patients). Dr. Harmon did a brilliant surgery. It was so smooth and easy! My vision went from 20/60 to 20/25! The follow-up has been thorough - the entire staff is very professional and courteous. I have referred everyone to Dr. Harmon. He has a busy practice and justifiably so.

After an initial visit in which I was told to go buy eye drops and given no test results or treatment, I was overbilled and staff refused to discuss the bill with me or put someone on the phone who could negotiate the cost. Disgusting waiting room, hectic, smelly, rude staff.

Such a nice Doctor. You go in and you get great service, in and Out with great care. Love this place

Dr. Harmon has given me surgical implants for cataracts. A slight complication arose after the first implant (liquid leaking from the incision) -- Dr. Harmon put a soft contact lens over it to act as a bandage and had me in his office every other day to check it. Before the surgery he even had me bring my laptop into his office so he could see how far I sat from it, etc. One of the side-effects of implants is dry eye. He sees me every few months to check on it. I have referred Dr. Harmon to others who are equally pleased. He is the best opthomologist in New York. I can't say enough good things about him.
