Dr. Irving Bernard David, MD

Dr. David's abilities are stellar. I have never experienced such perfection in a doctor and his staff making my journey through this grueling ordeal totally remarkable. The care and interest executed by Dr. David and his wonderful staff aided my very quick recovery.

As another reviewer stated, He was somewhat rude and condescending. I very much had the impression that he simply wanted to hustle me into the OR and get paid.

Seemed more interested in hustling me into the OR than me as a person. I felt like a billable event.

I recently had open heart mitral valve repair surgery with Dr. David. From the day I met him, he made me feel very comfortable with him, and confident in his knowledge. I consulted with a few surgeons, and he picked up on things that others did not. The surgery was successful and my recovery is going well. His office staff is very pleasant and easy to work with. His PA's are top notch. And the hospital where he operates, Holy Cross, is incredible. I highly recommend Dr. David.

Went to see Dr. Irving David today to discuss his recommendation for by pass surgery. Note im a 45 yo man, not overweight , non smoker, dont drink. I had chest pains after an altercation at work. He did not listen to me or take the time to answer my questions. He said, and i quote "If i was not there to schedule a surgery I was wasting his time with questions" He was so horrible and arrogant to me today. This is a huge surgery in my opinion. He did nothing but devalue my questions and made me feel small. And he did this in under 5 min of seeing me. I left with more chest pains than i went in with. He obviously only interested in cracking your chest and giving you a surgery, not taking the time to explain why, or even other possible options. I love holy cross hospital and my primary care there Dr. Carlos Guerra. But I strongly recommend finding someone else for your cardiac needs.

The Best surgeon I ever had

Truely a great surgeon. I was very apprehensive about the surgery due to my heart condition and reading about the complications. However, I needed not to worry. He did a fantastic job and everything came out fine. Thank you doctor.

Mere words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Irving David. He is truly amazing, fabulous & a "miracle worker." Dr. David performed cardiovascular surgery on my husband. It was a huge heart bypass surgery...7 arteries with 90% blockage. Hearing a diagnosis that would lead to such a surgery is beyond emotional, shocking & unforgettable. Dr. David was compassionate, professional, brilliant & took the time to explain it all. He is a brilliant surgeon that pretty much takes what he does in stride. This is his job.....to save lives. And, save lives he does! His cardiovascular team is the best...Holy Cross is THE hospital to go to for such a complicated surgery. It is just 9 1/2 weeks post op & my husband is progressing every day. His prognosis is excellent & we owe his life to Dr. Irving David. Thank G-d Dr. David performed Jerry's surgery & thank G-d he has a new lease on life! All because of one man who believes every one of his patients is as special as the next! Our love, gratitude… & sincerest appreciation to this wonderful human being!
