Dr. James William Duckett III, MD

I had a great experience with Dr. Duckett and his team at Academy Orthopedics. We tried everything before surgery, including physical therapy and shots for about a year, so surgery was definitely not his automatic go-to. He took the time to explore conservative options first. When it became clear that surgery was the right next step, Dr. Duckett performed my shoulder surgery, and it truly gave me my life back. My recovery was faster than I expected, and I’m finally getting back to living normally again. I’m extremely thankful for Dr. Duckett and his entire team. They were professional, caring, and helped me through the whole process. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with shoulder issues.

When our 95 year old mother fell & fractured her femur, Dr. Duckett performed surgery to insert a rod & two screws. We have been very pleased with the care he has provided. He explained the surgical process so it was clear on what would be done. Our mother's recovery has been amazing & we credit God & Dr. Duckett for how well she has done. Dr. Duckett has been on time at every appointment & he does an excellent job explaining how the x-rays look & takes time to answer questions. His office staff is very good, very professional. We would highly recommend Dr. Duckett.

Dr. Duckett always spends a lot of time with me, and makes me feel comfortable. He remembers me and my family when we come to see him.

Had an appointment with Dr Duckett at 4:15 pm. Received a call that day to come in early, the dr. Had to go to surgery. I asked my boss for a favor and left work early, losing an hr of pay. Got to the office at 3:30 as per request. I sat there until my original appointment time. I did all I could to accommodate the dr. Do you think he cares. NO WAY,,

My elderly father waited almost two hours to be seen by the doctor. We were leaving the exam room and the doctor was standing to the left. My father really wanted to leave but I talked him in to allowing the doctor to see him. My father is determined not to go back.

I'm He messed my knee up for life. That pretty much sums it up. Put prostetic in 14% off.

Everyone from the staff to the doctors have been absolutely wonderful and have went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Highly recommended!!! I had knee surgery, amazing!!! Rosa Garza

Dr. Duckett was absolutely the best orthopedic doctor I have ever been to, he listened to all my concerns, addressed my issue and surgically fixed my issue. My quality of life before coming to Dr. Duckett was awful, I could barely walk, my foot was in constant pain and I did not see how I would ever feel better. Now after surgery my quality of life has drastically changed, from being able to be active at the gym to having virtually no pain is a complete change in the positive direction for me. I will never be able to thank Dr. Duckett for improving my current situation.
