Dr. Jane Anne Fleagle, MD

Dr. Fleagle treated my elderly mother for several years. She has a fairly decent bedside manner but she doesn't come across as knowing what she's doing. She guesses a lot, orders a million tests, doesn't seem read other doctors' notes before consulting, and always comes up with the most doomsday scenario before really knowing what's going on. She actually said "Well, she is 90" regarding my mom's health concerns. Her front office staff is not very friendly either. I would not recommend at all.

My daughter has been sick with what seemed like really bad colds for two or three years. I called Dr. Fleagle and personally spoke to her about my daughter over a year ago and expressed my concerns. My daughter was 20 at the time, but a student, so I called for her to try to find just the right doctor. She was very nice on the phone. She seemed like she wanted to help. She saw my daughter and said she had low vitamin D, so she gave her a prescription for a month. My daughter has continued to be sick on and off for the last year. My daughter went back to see her and explained that she has been sick, over the past year, this time, for about 6 weeks...to the point of gagging and throwing up, from coughing so bad. Dr Fleagle told her “people get sick, you just need to tough it out”. So I called and got her in with my internist, who was 45 minutes away. She ran tests and my daughter has high eosinophils, which has to do with allergies, so she made her an appointment with an… allergist. She also has low B-12, and will do a prescription nasal spray for that. She has low Vitamin D and will take a prescription for Vitamin D for two months. Lastly, she was put on an antibiotic for a respiratory infection. All 4 of these problems are serious problems...to which she told my daughter to tough it out. My daughter’s father, is a physician (not internist), and would never speak to his patients like that, or deny them obvious tests. I would not go to this doctor. She needs her medical license revoked.

Dr Fleagle came highly recommended by a friend who is knowledgable in the medical community and I think the recommendation was a very good one! This was my first visit to Dr Fleagle . She took time to get to know me and was very thorough in determining my health needs and setting up screenings. My wait in the waiting area was a bit long but totally worth it.

Dr. Fleagle has treated me for two years and I'm highly satisfied with her services. She stays on top of my diabetes and other medical needs. She is easily understood. Its important to her to give you the best overall health treatment. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

Dr. Fleagle is my primary physician, and she is wonderful. She doesn't rush you, she listens, and she answers any questions that you have. She keep up with all labs and other doctor's visit. She is very thorough.

I have never reported a doctor's poor performance before, but Dr, Fleagle is the worst physician that I have ever met. A very poor communicator, arbitrary in her decision making, and a very poor bedside manner.

Dr. Fleagle has been my PCP for 6 years. It was very difficult to get a doctor that was accepting new patients. So when I finally found Dr. Fleagle, I was relieved. However, after I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was left with many weeks of being on my own waiting for a treatment plan. One thing I did was put myself on a healthy diet in an effort to get my weight to a healthy BMI, because my cancer was feeding itself from estrogen. After losing about 12 lbs, Dr. Fleagle told me not to lose anymore weight, she does not like her patients too skinny. Then she proceeded to contradict my VitD and Calcium intake that my oncologist approved. I was livid! How can a doctor, whose patient is trying her best to be healthy, under mine my attempt. Glad she is leaving Hawthorne Medical and looking forward to the new physician.

I was in remission from Acute Myeloid Luekemia and moved to Commerce to get out of the polluted Atlanta area. My onocoligist in Atlanta recommended Dr. Fleagle and that was 1998 and we have had a wonderful relationship every since. I find her very thorough, very caring and very detailed orenited. She has treated me through many serious illnesses. Breast cancer, blood clots, high blood pressure and diabetes and all were treated correctly. I would recommended Dr. Fleagle to anyone.

She's very step by step oriented and if one piece is missing, it's not going to fit into a diagnosis which in medicine seems pretty hard to do. I did not like her. She sent me on when I was very sick with coughing, sore throat, ragged voice, ill feeling and said to see an allergist. I felt so terrible I went to the walk in clinic where I was diagnosed with bronchitis and put on steroids, antibiotic and cough suppressant to stop the vicious cycle. She didn't even misdiagnose. She didn't diagnose at all. She seemed harried and trying to look up possibilities on her computer as a cheat sheet to help her. Not impressed. Waste of time and would not want her to be my doctor.

She came highly recommended by a Physician I respect. On my first visit I was with her for close to an hour so she could get to know me and get my background. She was able to help with my fibromyalgia when few doctors will even try.
