Dr Jason Hanson

I had a total thyroidectomy. Dr. Hanson was wonderful from start to finish. He was kind and of good humor. He answered all my questions.... even noticing when I said I didn't have one, but my face said otherwise. I am so happy I went to him. He was great, his team was great, and everyone I met at DePaul hospital was great. 10/10

Absolutely horrible!

Spent several days in ICU at Barnes after Hanson’s outpatient surgery!

At my last visit with Dr. Hanson I felt like I was inconveniencing him by being there. He was making me feel like he didn’t have the time of day to answer my questions. And he gave the least thorough exam he could have possibly gave. He has horrible bedside manners. It’s a shame because his office staff is so delightful but I’ve already scheduled an appointment with a different doctor as I refuse to return to Dr. Hanson.

Dr. Hansen did not deal with the 3 things I came into his office for. Instead gave me a prescription meds with serious side effects that I probably won't even take. Still having headaches, earaches and dizziness. Then, for some reason, hurt my back. Not happy.

My husband came to him with chronic throat pain feeling like something was stuck. Dr. Hanson did not even do a scope... did not even seem interested in listening to my husbands concerns before he just said... it's a throat infection and gave him a script for 2 antibiotics. We had them filled and he was taking them. The throat was not getting better but getting worse with other symptoms. My husband called the office explaining this to them and they said.. Dr Hanson was not concerned and said to just finish the script dosage. We felt something was not right even after Dr Hanson brushed us off. So.. we went to another ENT who immediately listened to the symptoms and did an exam of this mouth and throat. Ordered a CT and we found out it was CANCER. Stage 3 cancer of the mouth.. head and neck cancer. Dr Hanson should have seen these signs a month ago when we went to him but he did not seem to take anytime listening to my husband and his pain. This really ate at us that we wasted a little… over a month taking Dr Hansons advice that it was just a throat infection when the tumor in his mouth was just growing more. Now we have started aggressive ChemoRadiation thank God to the other ENT doing his job and acting quickly like a great Dr should. My husband decided to call Dr Hanson and speak to him to let him know what is going on and to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else. Open Dr Hanson's eyes so to speak about how he is treating patients. Dr Hanson listened to him speak on the phone telling him everything , then dr Hanson says.... "thank you for calling" and HANGS UP ON HIM! wow... no regret, remorse or anything. What just became of a bad Dr he was.. got even worse... he really is a rotten person and even more.. a rotten Dr.

Dr Hanson recently did surgery on my left gland. He was professional and made us feel at ease about the surgery.

I have seen quite a number of doctors but none gave me the kind of confidence I was seeking before undertaking a surgery procedure. When I came to Dr. Hansen he accurately diagnosed my problem which was corroborated with the ultrasound result. He exuded the right kind of confidence that made any of my unnerve concerns disappeared. I undertook the surgery and everything went well or beyond expectation. What a highly skilled and knowledgeable doctor! I will continue to recommend this doctor

Two of my children have been to Dr.Hanson and they know him by calling him their funny Dr. He is great with talking to the children and not just the parent and is very good at explaning everything to me and my kids in ways we understood. Great Dr.
