Dr. Jeffrey S Zollinger, DO

Having had extensive problems post knee replacement, Dr. Zollinger found the perfect thing to control my pain, long term without any ill or side effects. He changed my ability to sleep, walk and do a variety of activities pain free. He is a caring doctor with excellent bedside manner too. I'd recommend him to anyone. He changed the quality of my life.

I had heard about Sweetwater pain management and in particular really good things about Doctor Jeffery Zollinger. This was a complete falsity unfortunately. I have been fighting for years to have a complete full right hip replacement. Doctors including Stanford told me my hip wasn't that bad. Come to find out as exactly as I told them it was bone on bone and I should have had complete hip replacement regardless of my age. I only went to Zollinger once and thank god it was only once. I went with my mom I always bring a witness because my family knows what I've been through and I am not over dramatizing any of this condition. When Dr. Zollinger came into the room(which I had to wait an extra hour to see him) he first informed me about his credentials about working at the Mayo Clinic and knowing about hip ailments. He also brought two people into the room he was training. I told him my hip is pretty much bone on bone I had a hard time standing. He dismissed what I told him and said your… hip isn't that bad and I think you need to see our pain psychologist. I said I don't believe so this hip is failing and I desperately need a hip replacement. When I kept stating that he told me ALL YOU NEED IS PHYSICAL THERAPY. I told him I had done P.T. for a year and it has actually made my walking worse. This went on for two hours. He then addressed pain control I told him I need something to control this I am crying all the time and my hip feels like someone taking an ice pick and jamming it in there every single time I walk, lay down the pain won't stop. He told me it's not that bad. I was fed up by the time I left. It turned out he completely misdiagnosed me. I indeed had to have an immediate hip replacement. I finally found a competent doctor. I told him what Dr. Zollinger told me and my current doctor was in shock. He told me that Zollinger should helped and not put you back in P.T. you absolutely did the right thing in getting another opinion. Dr. Zollinger treated me like I was nothing and made me feel even worse as if I was simply being hysterical and all I needed was to talk to someone and go back in P.T. two completely ignorant and just plain wrong solutions. DO NOT GO TO THIS PAIN CLINIC.If he doesn't know what's wrong he will shame the patient instead of finding the solution. My replacement went great and am in P.T. now and I even told my P.T. therapist what was told to me and he was in shock that a doctor would be so incredibly dismissive and arrogant. If you need pain control seek a solution elsewhere he doesn't care about patients with real proven pain.

Outstanding Pain Management Dr. Many in this field are unwilling to really listen to the patient, and he's one of the best I've seen, regardless of specialty. Treats his patients with respect, and is extremely attentive. An obvious specialist in his field, and is willing to try whatever procedures are necessary to get you feeling better, yet doesn't 'push' a patient into any particular procedure just because he thinks it's best. He works with the patient to decide what both parties think will be best, and is willing to try a multitude of medicinal options as well--doesn't stick with one just because he thinks it's best--takes his patient's point of view as well. Also, his office staff is amazing and very friendly and professional as well.

Nice modern office. Felt like he really cared about me.
