He is an outstanding physician!

He repaired my macular hole without facedown positioning this is a miracle in itself

Dr.Neuworth has been helping me since I was diagnosed with macula degeneration . I feel that he is truly devoted to his patients .

I brought my daughter, now college age, for a retina check. She had always been see through the neonatologist opthomologist that did surgey on her eyes as a baby to restore her vision. Dr Neuwirth was highly recommended. Uggh. Dreadful. 2 plus hour wait after driving an hour and a half. He was abrupt, rude, and downright unfriendly. Very sarcastic. The young man who took the photos of her retinas was wonderful. The office didn't accept our insurance after they said they did on the phone. The appointment cost me almost $800. HORRIBLE!! Beware.

I don't have a lot of experience with eye issues, however after my experience with this doctor and staff, I hope I never do. I waited exactly two hours after I had eye drops put in my eyes for a follow-up visit. No explanation, no apology, just total disregard for what another human may be going through. The woman who usually sits at the reception desk is discourteous and rude as though you are imposing on her by just standing at the window waiting for her to acknowledge you. The rest of the staff have cordial, although their overall appearance is sloppy. My advice is to find someone else with more time and concern for you and not just himself.

WORST bedside manner ever ... sarcastic and money-hungry. Staff was great, he was just horrible. Horrible.

I have been seeing Dr Neuwirth for over 30 years. He has never been anything but compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable. Yes you have to wait in the waiting room for awhile he he does spend alot of time with his patients. Our eyes are precious and I would never ever think about having another Dr look at my eyes.

If all doctors acted to patients like this man, people would stop going to a doctor. He is very unkind, unsympathetic, sarcastic...I wonder if anyone has ever shined lights and pressed on his eyes the way he does? Does he know what it feels like to literally suffer with eye issues?? Please don't waste your time and money with this man. Go to Yale, New York, anywhere but to see this man. I have never felt like crying when I left a doctor's office the way I did after my appointment with Jerry Neuwirth. Maybe he just woke up on the wrong side of his cage....

Although Dr. Neuwirth has always done excellent surgery his bedside and office manner lack courteousness. I waited for over an hour to see him for a follow up, and not only was he very late to my appointment but he said very little, was sarcastic about my question, and left staring at his smartphone and never even answered my final question!
