Dr Jordan Smith gave me a total hip replacement 30 days ago. I am a 78 year old man. I was playing light tennis 9 days later and all out doubles tennis within 3 weeks. The last thing I expected was to undergo any surgery -- ever. That was until baseline hip x-rays indicated differently. Thankfully, a conversation with our PT and a friend's recommendation led me to Dr. Jordan Smith. In all honesty, I have to admit that every step of this process was easier than I'd ever have thought and as pain free as one could hope. From my initial phone call to schedule a consultation-- the time that both Dr. Martinez and Dr. Smith spent with us-- Jo quickly returned phone calls-- the caring staff at the Oro Valley Surgical Suite--- the follow up texts and emails from Dr. Smith-- there wasn't anything more that anyone could have done. For someone who hoped to never leave home -- the day of surgery was amazing. We left our home at 5:20am and at 9:50am I was back in our bed sleeping off the anesthetic! Never needed any prescription meds. NEVER had any pain. Used the walker for 4-5 days then a cane. At 4 weeks, I'm "good as new". THANK YOU!! Hands down Dr. Smith is the best hip surgeon in all of Tucson if not all of AZ. Has been doing hip replacement surgery for 18 years and, very importantly, does only hips. He also has the latest robotic equipment to assist him in his surgery. My surgery started at 7:30 am and was home at 10:30 am. 14 days later I was back to square dancing and my fitness center. By the way, he does most of his surgeries in a surgical center vs a hospital, which, in my opinion, is much better.

I was so pleased with the hip replacement done by Dr. Jordan Smith. I had put off the procedure for a long time but ultimately needed to address my instability and limp. The experience was almost magical. Just 3 days after the procedure, I was walking with little aid or discomfort. I now have full mobility. Dr. Smith was generous with his time when answering my questions. Parking at his office was hassle free compared with other providers, which was very helpful when walking was still a challenge. Overall, I couldn't be happier.

As I write this I am barely at the 8 week point; I’ve been back to all my yoga poses including full crouches for over a month already. I was impressed front my first meeting with Dr. Smith. Not only was he professional, well spoken and personable, but he had a very efficiently run office. Everything about my experience from pre surgical visit, surgery to post surgical visit was outstanding. I had put off this surgery for years because I don't deal well with western med - Dr Smith took this objection away with his method of care delivery. Also, of note, Dr Smith's PA, Tim, only complimented Dr Smith's approach. Tim visited me the morning after surgery in the hospital with empathy and positive words. I was delighted with the whole experience.
