Dr. Nicholas Alan Ransom

My son's hand exploded when run over by a 1/2 ton suburban. Dr. Ransom said his hand wouldn't be of much use to him. He took 8 pins and hours of surgery. Dr Ransom may not gave a great beside manner but he's great in hand reconstruction! Wax therapy helped. You must do your part in your healing.

Left with 2 broken screws in my back. Finally got ins to cover repair surgery now he won't see me, or even talk to me.

I arrived 15 mins before my first appointment and was kept waiting an hour past my appointment time before I was even taken in the back. His TINY waiting room pailed only in comparison to the rest of the tiny office that looked as if it was assembled by the worlds most inept handyman. The office staff were the worst I had ever seen. The exam rooms were in disarray and the paper on the beds from previous patients had not been removed. My appt reminder was for a completely different patient! Dr. Ransom was greatly lacking in bedside manner and short with me in every regard. I will not be returning or seeking further treatment.

I felt like the Tin Man before Dr. Ransom operated on me (ACDF). I’m still in the early stages of recovery, but I recommend him to anyone who wishes to freely turn his or her head again....

Dr. Ransom is a good surgeon and I'm happy with the outcome of my surgery. I am not happy with the follow up visits. He does not give you time to answer his questions and he does NOT answer the questions you ask him. You have to wait for almost 2 hours to see him and you are with him for less than 10 minutes. I just had back surgery and at my follow up visit today he asked me if I could bend back as far as I could. As I was doing this for him he grabbed my shoulders and, with a fast move, he pulled my back in a jerking motion. He is supposed to be the one I trusted to help me and then he causes me severe pain with what he did at that time. I had nothing but trouble with the office staff. They are almost never open and if you leave a message they do not return your calls. It seems like none of the staff have had training in their job. I could not get pain meds after my surgery due to the incompetence of the staff. I had to go for 4 days with out meds right after the surgery. I had to… argue with the staff to get them to do anything. I would not recommend anyone I know to his office. I don't know why I am wasting my time writing this because I know it will fall on deaf ears and nothing will be done about. I guess right now I am just "venting" my anger and frustrations toward him and his office.

This office really sucks.

Every medical assistant there is a complete idiot. Not a single one knew what was going on. It takes more than an hour after your appt to be seen. That is even if the assistants can find you on the schedule. They fail to bring your records for the doctor. The entire appt you could tell everyone is just guessing what they should be doing. Dr. Ransom is great but considering his staff, I'll go elsewhere.

Dr. Ramson's office triple books patients. I know for a fact by talking with other parients in the waiting room. My average wait time is an hour to 2 hours.. I absolutely hate going there, but I do like Dr. Ramson.

Dr Ransom is THE BEST,I have referred him at least 20 times and 3 of the people had used him and loved him. Had my surgery back in 2001 and still going strong. Thanks Doc....
