Dr. Larry A. Chinitz, MD

I had a catheter ablation performed by Dr. Chinitz. He thoroughly explained the procedure to me before I agreed to it. Pre-op the entire staff ( medical assts., PA's, nurses were great. I had a long wait due to a low potassium level but once that was corrected all went well. I was awake for the procedure but sedated. It was totally painless and didn't take as long as I anticipated. Post-op care was excellent and I was discharged the same day. I would highly recommend Dr. Chinitz to anyone needing his specialty.

Based on my research and experience Dr. Chinitz is top notch in his field. If you want hand holding he may not be your guy. However, if you’re looking for a great outcome based on experience and technique then Dr. Chinitz should be at the top of your list! I recently had a cardiac ablation after postponing several times. I suffered with constant daily palpitations which affected my quality of life for way too long. Immediately after the ablation I was “Arrhythmia free”. My only problem was that I waited too long to have the procedure done. I can’t say enough of great things about Dr. Chinitz, the NYU Langone EP lab, the nurses and his entire staff. NYU has an incredible cardiac facility that I would highly recommend to anyone. I have given Dr. Chinitz a well deserved nickname, “THE SMOOTH OPERATOR,” because that is how my procedure went.

I can’t comment on Dr. Chinitz skills as a doctor since he didn’t honor his appointment with me. It took me two months to get an appointment. I arrived on time. After sitting for 45 minutes and listening to people in the waiting room grumble about how long they had been waiting, I checked at the front desk to ask how much longer I would wait before I saw him. I was told two hours. No explanation, no apology. Nothing was said when I walked in. I understand that doctors can have emergencies, but tell your patients. I wasn’t waiting two more hours, so I left. I’ve been treated by some of the top cardiologists in New York. I’ve had this issue with none of them. I do not want to be treated by a doctor and staff who have so little respect for their patients.

I can’t say enough of the treatment I had at NYU for an AFIB ablation. Every nurse, PA and staff member Couldn’t have been nicer. I had the kind of treatment I hoped for. Dr. Chinitz was quiet but said not to worry and he will take care of me and he did! Even the kind aide Eureka was so nice to me and respectful. I am grateful that I had the nurses I had and the entire staff! The follow up the next day was also great.

Catheter Ablation for SVT

My name is Genti. I want to say that these professionals are heroes. They fight every day with their excellence and kindness against problems that we have in our body. I had SVT in my heart and the ablation was way to resolve it. Many thanks from my family to Dr. Larry, Johanna, Sam, Juri, Kim, Olga, and all the others. For sure they are terrestrial angels.

I was scared and unsure of what will be ahead of me. Dr. ChInitz and his team were wonderful . My mom doctor , Dr Philip Moskawitz Recommended me ?????? That was 2014 and I am doing great . Thanks to all the wonderful doctors that help us live better lives

Went in for a cardiac ablation came out with a stent and a blood clot in my pulmonary vein . One of the worse doctors I’ve seen in my life . Cocky attitude and he has other people do the procedure apparently . I now have a stent at 27 . Said I was “better now “ than before . I do not recommend to anyone

I am very happy to have chosen Dr. Chinitz to perform my ablation. I found him to be caring, and very easy to speak with. My follow up visits were with a nurse practitioner whom I found to be very knowledgeable. On my second follow up I thought I would be seeing the doctor but it was a different Nurse Practioner. I told her that I thought I would be seeing the doctor. After my examination, Dr. Chinitz did come in to see me long enough to answer any questions and for me to thank him for giving me a new lease on life. Before I chose Dr. Chinitz to perform my ablation, I had consults with 2 other electrophysiologist in NJ before choosing Dr. Chinitz. The

Beware - will try hard to sell you on invasive procedures. Has a high complication rate not disclosed, and does not do the procedures himself but has assistant MDs perform everything. No followup. Avoid.
