Dr. Mara Jose Fiorentino, MD

Dr. Fiorentino is very serious and straight forward in her care. If you do what she says and follow her instructions you will improve. If you aren’t forthcoming with everything, she will see right through you and put you in your place. Often times that is what you need most, someone to bump you back on track.

Rude, negligent. She expects you to just do what she says with your child no questions asked. My child ended up in the E.R. after she put her on a medication dosage increase 4x what is recommended. For a condition she wasn't even positive she had. She confused my child with another patient on more than one occasion. For your child safety do not trust this woman.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fiorentino for years now she is a great dr.

Worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. She is rude, condescending, has terrible interpersonal skills and misdiagnosis.

I've been a patient of hers well over a year. My life has truly gotten better.

When you cannot find a one doctor taking insurance in this area, and then you meet her staff at a beautifully decorated office, with a personal approach, and a good doctor and good doctor, hey you have touched the sky with your hands!

I feel confident with Dr. Fiorentino. She listens to me and has helped create the right treatment plan for me. The process is not a quickor eat one. Every person is different. To think problems will be resolvedover night is ludicrous. However, within a few months of treatment she has me on the right path. I for one am pleased and happy with her services although, she could be a little more prompt with appointment times but, that's all doctors office in general.

Wondering what happened to all of Fiorentinos' responses to her reviews on this website? Apparently, someone informed her what a complete violation of privacy and how completely unprofessional her responses actually were.I made an appt. to see Fiorentino, however, was seen by her therapist on staff. The therapist was nice, but I felt the whole operation was a joke. The therapist read to me a handout on fibromyalgia. This was ridiculous to me as I had already informed her I was recently diagnosed at the Mayo clinic for fibromyalgia. I certainly did not need a therapist to read a generic fibromyalgia handout to me. This was after spending at least 30 minutes in the waiting area while the 2 front desk workers locked the front door and went to lunch, exiting out the back door, leaving me left alone, in a locked office while waiting to be seen by Fiorentino (which I had no idea that I was actually waiting to see her therapist). If I were searching for a pshyciatrist in NW FL, I would… recommend you DO NOT choose Fiorentino.

My appointment was one of the strangest moments of my life. I felt like I was listening to someone talk about their very negative life experience. "All other doctors in this area are incompetent...there are no good lawyers". She pretty much told me I was doomed. Just a horrible experience. I got the impression she had gone through a terrible divorce experience. Almost like I was sitting there to listen to her vent. I couldn't get a word in. Her therapist Kathy was excellent though. The office staff was polite but extremely disorganized. I was at the office twice, the first appointment I waited almost 2 hours and had to cancel due to another commitment I had. The 2nd appointment I waited 70 minutes.

i have been in treatment for years, and this is the first time i encounter a very special person and intelligent woman as my psychiatrist. she is brilliant! and has the flair of being touched by an angel. i really like this doctor, i feel better by knowing that she cares so much for me.
