Dr. Mark Allen Holt, MD

Dr. Holt has replaced both of my knees. The first went so well, I'd have been crazy to let someone else do the other knee. Both surgeries had quick recoveries because I followed his instructions and he had done a great job. I've recommended by family go to him, if they need to.

He is very considerate, follows up after visits, and is willing to help even after the injury in healed

Recently a family member was admitted to MCN for an infection in his leg that needed addressed with IV antibiotics. After a few days it was decided that surgery was needed to aid in the proper care and treatment for the infection. Unfortunately, Dr. Holt was called in to be the consulting physician and surgeon. This patient had a surgery approximately 6 months ago and almost died due to other health issues, ie: sleep apnea and obesity and the very simple fact that he could not wake up from anesthesia therefore he was unable to breath on his own. This was no fault of the anesthesiologist just several things playing against him. We asked Dr. Holt to please take this into consideration and maybe do a spinal block instead of general anesthesia and at the very least contact the hospital and request anesthia records to have a better understanding. He was very put off at this request and told us that getting records from another facility was impossible. Being in the medical field, we knew… this was a lie. He refused to even consider looking into the underlying medical issues this particular patient had and said his only concern was to operate.. Hmmm. At this point our family felt like it was a lose lose situation and the physician was frustrated and said "I will do surgery on a dead cat if I have to !". Unprofessional is an understatement. He has no bedside manners and is extremely arrogant. Please consider your options when choosing a physician, especially when they will do surgery on a dead cat

Dr Holt was wonderful and spent time with me and gave me my options. Entire office was professional and made me feel atbease.

Dr. Holt was terrific! He spent the time with me to talk about my options....and didn't encourage surgery that wasn't necessary.
