Dr. Martin Mehrdad Pourkesali, DO

When I first visited Dr Pourkesali two years ago for my cataracts, I only needed glasses to read. After my surgeries and lens implants, my vision is significantly worse. I now have to wear different glasses to watch TV, use my computer, and drive...I cannot even read road signs after surgery. After numerous follow up visits my eyesight has not improved and he cannot offer any explanation not remedy. Dr Pourkesali literally ruined my eyesight. I am currently seeing another eye surgeon at Tomoka Eye who is attempting to correct my poor vision. I would STRONGLY suggest that you get a second opinion before using Pourkesali and even consider using a more respected eye surgeon.

The doctor is knowledgeable and so so kind, I wish he was a general practitioner. His staff is also great. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else, been to Dr. Kostick and although she is good she doesn't compare to Dr. Pourkesali IMO

His skill as a doctor are fine but the ethics of the office are highly questionable. Get every estimate in writing, my bill was 30% higher than the cost I was told up front and I was misled as to the vast improvement I would experience in my vision after the surgery. I could have purchased a $10.00 pair of cheaters for the exact same crappy vision I have now.

Wonderful personality and Excellent physician with his skills

Dr Pourkesali is one of the humblest, kindest, most thorough doctors I have ever visited. He follows my eye conditions closely, treating with the least invasive methods. His office keeps immaculate records. I've actually had them refuse automated payments because they had been paid by duplicate methods. (Most other offices issue a credit to the account, and sometimes I have to argue to get that.) If you want an honest, compassionate doctor, here's your chance.

Without peer the finest ophthamologist in the State of Florida. There is not enough complimentary or great things you can to describe Dr. Pourkesali. He is superb docot, caring provider and a tremendous human being. Thank you Dr. Pourkesali for all you have done and continue to do for my family and me.
