Dr. Michael John Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs did my gallbladder surgery. He fit me into his schedule since I had come into the hospital through the ER. He is very professional and caring. His whole team was very knowledgeable and thorough. He is an expert in his field and I was very lucky to have him as my surgeon. Thank you again Dr. Jacobs!

My dad had pancreatic cancer. Our family doctor referred us to Dr. Jacobs. Dr. Jacobs conferred with our family doctor on a further diagnosis and agreed on whipple surgery which is very complex. My Dad is 88 year old, so we were very hesitant to go through with it. But we did our research and found our that Dr. Jacobs has performed over 600 whipple surgeries during his career. Dr. Jacobs, was very confident that my Dad was a good candidate and that he would recover well. He was spot on. While my Dad was recovering in Providence Hospital for 13 days, we learned even more about this doctor. The nurses and staff who know him said that if they have to go under the knife they will only trust Dr. Jacobs. I know for sure the whole floor were patients that he performed surgeries on--patients like my Dad who trusted him with their lives. It's been 3 Months now and my dad is doing very well. I hope this will help others to trust Dr. Jacobs.

Dr. Jacobs was the only doctor or other health care provider at the hospital to recognize the seriousness of my daughter's condition. He likely saved her life.

Did a great job on my hernia

I had a surgical procedure by Dr Michael J Jacobs and I was extremely satisfied with the outcome. After the intial appointment, Dr Jacobs advisesd that an operation was needed. He explained what would happen The operation went as he said it would. I healed quickly. I had a followup meeeting and he confirmed my prioblem was successfully corrected

He is such a wonderful doctor I saw so far. He saved me when I was in very critical condition. I am blessed to have him on emergency call that day..if not I wouldn't have survived. My condition was,I had hysterectomy through Jeanette thai and punctured my colon and that lead to septic in my tummy. Jacob's is soo caring and wonderful doctor. He also listens to all your questions and clears all of it. I love him.

Dr Jacobs, is the most compassionate, caring doctor I have ever met. He treated my liver cysts and found an abdominal hernia that I didn’t know was there. He repaired them both saving me from an additional surgery. How many doctors do you know would do that? I’m sharing my experience with him to all who will listen. I also want to thank my Primary Care Doctor, Janet Sprague of Grand Ledge, and GI Doctor Allison Wood of Lansing who referred me to Doctor Jacobs. Thank you all for your care, I’m so blessed.
