Dr. Michael Robert Krueger, MD

I was referred to the Institute by my Primary Care Physician after an MRI due to a full tear in my left shoulder. On check-in I had to sign a paper stating that I would BEHAVE or they would refuse treatment. I thought that odd but I normally behave so I signed it. I have since come to understand the doctor can be rude, arrogant, curt and put out and the patient has no rights! In my case, the doctor was completely unprepared in as much as his first question to me was “why are you here”. I told him I was referred for a full tear in my shoulder. His response was where does it say that! He got the report from the radiologist who read the MRI and he said it just says tear! Due to a previous surgery there is a lot of scar tissue. The report also stated liquid buildup. He muttered something about a full shoulder replacement and he wasn’t going there. He never looked at my CD which was on display on the screen in the exam room. He then came over to me to examine my right shoulder. I… had to tell him it was my left shoulder! Makes me wonder if he was even reading my report. Because of the pain, he gave me a shot and said he’d see me in 6 weeks. I have since cancelled that appointment, returned to my Primary Care Physician and requested a referral to another physician. Dr. Krueger may very well be a good surgeon, but his put out, rude, arrogant manner is completely unacceptable. I would never recommend him to anyone and I’m willing to wait in pain and travel to another area to be treated. My complaint is against Dr. Michael Krueger and I’m relating my personal experience.

Dr. Krueger was to the point and told me to let time take care of my knee, as my problem was easing.

If bedside manner is important to you go elsewhere. Dr Krueger is no nonsense kind of guy. Comes in, does an exam, states what you need, asks if you have a question, and leaves once the business of doctoring is done. He shots straight. No frills. I like him. But more important then a personality is he is a darned good surgeon. And he takes his time to optimize results. All the nurses said I was in really good hands and to feel confident in his surgical skills. That what matters.

There emails prior to appointment informed me to be there at the wrong time, it was 30 minutes into staff lunch. When they did arrive the gave me laptop to fill all my personal data into. I am not functional on this procedure. Stretcher patients came in and went in before me . I waited almost 3 hours! When the Dr . came in the room I thought it was the janitor, he was dressed in blue jeans and flannel shirt. No Dr apparel, name tag or anything. Very unprofessional. I brought X-ray , he never went over it with me, examined me , all he said was stage that I need surgery and he doesn't do it anymore and can refer me. My thoughts at time was anger at a waste of time and he was probably sued for negligence and get out of ther quickly. AVOID the guy COVID. He spent all of 3 minutes with me .When I left the waiting room was packed. Big Medicare Grab....

Dr. Krueger was cordial and explained my options to my comminuted fracture of the left humeral neck and head. The surgery went well.

Dr. Krueger did a great job installing a metal plate to fix my broken arm - it broke at the sholder socket. I was able to regain full range of motion and strength in my arm after physical therapy. He also has done cortizone injections in my knees which has helped with my knee pain. Highly recommend.

Dr. Krueger is the best. His no BS approach is comforting. He always lays out all your options for discussion then lets the patient choose,,, along with his professional opinion. Dr. K has done 2 partial knee replacements for me and several friends that I have recommended to him. My only constructive input would be that the office is terrible at answering phone calls and seldom returns voice mails. Still a great facility and Doctor!!

If you believe in science... don't go to him. In the 1.5 years I saw him, the one and only test before and after surgery was to lift my arm. He does not believe in COVID, told me how stupid it was when my company went to mask wearing, as he had his on. Said he believes that covid is the flu..yet when my arm wasn't healing, he said "COVID has been known to effect muscles". So when I brought his waffling on covid, couldn't go both ways, he said sure he can. Never has the current pt notes w him or on computer. Kept giving me meds I couldn't take. I took them back, and because it's wc, he said "it didn't cost you anything". I said it's a waste. Then ordered muscle relaxer 3x daily so it would be 90. Said "legally" he could only give me 60. Got home and found out I had 30. I immediately called his office staff, WHO NEVER CALL BACK. When I emailed, I was told I needed to make a new appt? He's got little man syndrome!!!! Said I reached, mmi, but said to continue PT? He told me he doesn't read… notes from my therapists, who actually know my recovery. He's a jerk...never on time. First appt at 8 am, he came in at 845. I would've gone elsewhere, but it was a wc. He's a know it all, denier! My shoulder is messed up. My throat was damaged during surgery...he told me at my 1 week fu, that I needed to contact anesthesia. Then wrote on my form "throat damage from surgery" then told wc he didn't know if it was from surgery. Jerk

After reading some of the reviews, I was apprehensive about seeing him. After my appointment, I realized why some of the reviews were negative. He has a dry sense of humor, which I don’t mind and is straight to the point. He doesn’t sugarcoat his treatment plans which I prefer. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation. He is an honest and patient physician who cares about his patients.

Saw Dr Krueger about a torn bicep muscle. He walked in, stated that there is no treatment for this injury and was ready to leave. I asked about follow up (None) or Limitations (none). He said my Rotator Cuff looked fine - so just go about life. Four months later, I still can't sleep due to pain and will now face Rotator Cuff surgery (different Doctor). Lived with unnecessary pain and further injured the shoulder because he didn't have the time to do a thorough evaluation. We were the last people in the office by the time he saw me - so I'm sure he just wanted to get home.
