I am extremely disappointed in how this endocrinology office treats its patients and handles legitimate concerns. Three months ago, I followed the proper process to transfer my care to another provider in the same office. The staff confirmed that both providers had approved the transfer and scheduled the appointment. I showed up for that appointment yesterday, checked in, and was then told — only then — that the new provider had “never approved” the transfer and my appointment was cancelled right then and there. This was an internal failure in communication and scheduling, yet I was the one left sitting there embarrassed, frustrated, and without care. The reason I requested the transfer in the first place was because of a comment made to me by Neelavathi Senkottaiyan, MD, who told me that my Type 1 diabetes is not a disability. For someone living with a 24/7, life-threatening autoimmune disease that requires constant management, this was not only medically inaccurate but completely… invalidating. After the scheduling mistake, I calmly explained that I was not comfortable returning to a provider who had spoken to me that way and asked to be placed with a different clinician in the office. I was later told by voicemail that no other provider would take me and that my only options were to go back to the same provider or be referred elsewhere. So instead of addressing the original concern, taking accountability for their error, or making any real effort to retain a patient who simply wanted respectful care, the office chose to push me out. What is most disappointing is that this approach goes completely against what Mercy claims to stand for. Mercy promotes compassionate care, respect, and patient-centered values — yet my experience was the exact opposite. I was dismissed, not heard, and treated as an inconvenience for advocating for myself. At no point did anyone: – Apologize for the scheduling error – Address the inappropriate comment that started this situation – Attempt to resolve the issue in a patient-focused way Patients managing serious chronic conditions deserve to feel supported and respected. This experience showed a complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic compassion. I have escalated this to Patient Relations because this is not acceptable treatment. If you are looking for an endocrinology office that actually reflects the values Mercy advertises, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I love Dr. Neela, but trying to get to talk to an actual person is not possible. Even when trying to schedule or reschedule, you have to leave a message and wait for a callback. I left a message a week ago and still have not heard anything.

Dr Neele was so helpful. My diabetes got complicated and my primary wanted to put me on disability. I was able to get an appointment with her within 48 hours of calling and explaining my situation to her nurse. I was a basket case, me on disability, at my age? I think not. With Dr Neele's help, I purchased a new insulin pump and cgm. It took about 6 weeks, but after many changes in insulin dosage I was able to return to work. She help me get back to work when my primary would not even talk to me or return my phone calls. She is the only one I allow to treat my diabetes and follow her instructions as perfectly as I can.

I visited this dr last week. She Answered 3 q of mine and after that she did physical exam for 1 min. After that she seemed to be in rush I asked het i have few more questions to ask she smiled at me and went out of the room. I was shocked, I told nurse abut it and she told me you can drop your questions on mymercy.net. I visited dr after 1 year , so I had few questions to ask regarding my future planning.

She's very friendly and approachable. Takes time with you and answers questions thoughtfully.

Dr. Neele is a wonderful Dr. thoughtful, courteous and listen to your concerns. She really put my mind at ease.
