I brought my daughter to see Dr M. 6 years ago on the recommendation of the former head of The Pediatric Program at Saint Vincent`s Hospital. He diagnosed her with Insulin Resistant Syndrome and under active Thyroid. She initially took her medications and then refused. She ballooned into a two hundred pound teenager she finally looked in the mirror 2 years ago and asked me to bring her back to him. He looked at me a Registered Nurse. We stuck with his advice and today were back, my daughter is now a 146 teenager, happy, go lucky. We thank you Dr Mclaren

while it is true that Dr. Maclaren is a really good doctor, he spends time talking to you about everything. However, sadly i will no longer be using his office. I was just informed by Heather, the manager, that i owe $600 from a visit that was over 5 months ago. she said i never brought in a referral, i told her it was the offices responsibility to make sure not to schedule any appointments without first making sure that a referral is made. i called the insurance company and they said that i'm right. if they dont end up paying or the fee is not dropped i plan to sue. i dont recommend the office anymore.

I went to Dr Maclaren after a colleague recommended him to me. But all the reviews about this office's lack of professionalism are sadly true. I took many tests, only to not receive any results from the office for 1+ week. Their phone lines are often not operational. When reached, the staff seems surprised that a patient with health problems could be anxious to receive her test results. To think they might actually deal with critically ill patients is chilling. Avoid if you can.

It's worth pointing before going further that Noel Maclaren is one of the most respected and widely published endocrinologists in the world. He has published in the world's top journals like Nature and Science and actually invented a vaccine for Type I Diabetes. He has only gone into private practice in the last few years and was a Professor at Cornell Weil before this. Like many brilliant clinician-scientists, it's a fair criticism that he may not be the best business owner or best office manager. They have worked hard to improve their staff, efficiency, and organization since some of these earlier reviews were written, but there may still be room for improvement. At the end of the day, you don't go to see someone like Dr. Maclaren because he is the best marketer or has the best run office. You go because you are getting access to a brilliant mind, one of the singularly best doctors in this field, who is likely to give you the most accurate diagnosis and best treatment options… available for any complex endocrine disorder you may be suffering from. Dr. Maclaren has shined by correctly diagnosis my condition where all other doctors I tried before have failed, by being available at short notice when I had an emergency late at night, and by being more informed about the latest scientific breakthroughs for my condition than anyone else I've consulted.

I am an MD and I took my son to multiple pediatric endocrinologist. Dr. MacLaren is by far the best we have seen. His diagnosis is correct, he keeps up with technology and spends appropriate amount of time explaining things to my son who is not a doctor. He is also a leader in his profession and I found his threw my fiends endocrinologists who attended his lectures. As you know in medicine making correct diagnosis is more important then a smiley secretary at the front office. I recommended him to a few of my colleagues also MDs and all the doctors really liked him.

ive been using dr maclaren for a number of years and couldnt be happier! my aic dropped from 9.3 to 5.9 thanks to him. anyone within a 2hr drive should definitly make the trip!!!!
