Dr. Philippe Gerard Douyon, MD

I rarely write reviews, well maybe never have but Dr. Douyon deserves the the greatest of reviews and more. I leave this comment on this site today after leaving my regular neurological office visit sadden by the fact that I was not seen by him as he is on leave. I am not sure when he will return but I pray he will because I only trust him and this he earned. The first day I met him I was a lost soul with a lost mind. He has helped me recover all of who I am and believe that despite the epilepsy I can live well and that I have accomplished. Before him I underwent many treatments, many surgeries, many medications that failed. Life was also something I underwent as if it was a trail but as I attempted to live I often was limited, stopped yet again by a horrible seizure. I would start again over and over for many years till I decided I wanted to give up completely on life and that is when Dr. Douyon came to my life. See no neurologist gave me what he gave me that was a ear to listen to… me, a face to look at, and words of wisdom to help me believe hope existed. Epilepsy is such a difficult condition, so many of us live an invisible world of sorrow and to have to see someone who doesn’t actually see us as a person but instead sees us as a research study and a dollar sign is quite disturbing and enraging. Dr. Douyon is one in a million, I will travel till the end of the world to see follow up with him. Wishing you a speeding recovery to an angel that walks amongst.

I found Dr. Douyon to be a very helpful, easy to talk to and empathetic neurologist. Fantastic doctor that always gives you time to talk about any concerns. The office is friendly and helpful as well.

He doesn't listen, he has a horrible disgusting attitude, and he doesn't prescribe appropriate medication because he doesn't listen. There are so many wonderful doctors in the world and he certainly is not one of them. Stay far as has nothing to offer.
