Dr. Ramesh Narayan Ashwath, MD

The day following my "routine" colonoscopy by Dr. Ashwath at the Brandon Surgery Center, one of the clips came off. The result was massive internal bleeding and an ambulance ride to Tampa General. I was there for over 3 days, and out of work for a week. My wife also missed work due to my hospital stay. In spite of this, my lost pay, and hospital and ambulance copays - these guys not only continue to try to insist that this is "normal," they continue to bill me for the co-pay for the procedure. Dr. Ashwath's office even billed me $37 for a telephone consult following the hospitalization where I had to explain to him what had happened! Wow! Unless you think this is "routine" and the type of care you expect from a medical professional, do not go to this doctor or this Surgery center.

Office immaculately clean. Office staff pleasant helpful. Dr Ashwath pleasant makes eye contact when he speaks to you. He entertains and answers questions and does not appear to be impatient. He makes you feel comfortable and appears interested in what you have to say. Loved the information in screens on office wall. You get the sense he is a caring dedicated physician.

Dr Ashwath and his staff including, yet not limited to, Bianco and Maria are absolutely enjoyable to work with! Scheduling is a breeze with his outer office staff. The nurse professionals who check one in actually review information before meeting a patient and then convey what was covered to Dr Ashwath. Dr Ashwath is the consummate professional. He paid particular attention to specifics I confided to him associated with my situation and he provided me with key medical information in easy-to-understand terms I now convey to my other medical practitioners including my primary care physician and other specialist physicians.
