Dr. Ramon Gerardo Lugo- Sanchez, MD

My mother was referred to Dr. Lugo for short memory loss. After the first appointment, it was impossible to try to talk to him directly. All messages were left through his assistants, who took days to receive replies. After some weeks she was finally diagnosed with Alzheimer's (AD), but guess what? Do you think that Dr. Lugo called us or saw us in person to meet and tell us the bad news and how we should do to manage the situation?? Absolutely NOT!! He asked one of his nurses to call and tell us the news. "Hello, this is Nurse X from Dr. Lugo's office. Your mother has AD and Dr. Lugo sent a prescription for donepezil at the Walgreens pharmacy under your account. Start giving her the donezepil as instructed and call in 4-6 weeks." Is that the proper way to treat patients and their family members???
