Dr. Richard William Minudri, MD

I will never see Dr. Minudri ever again. He tried to force me to get STD testing because my boyfriend and I had been away from each other for awhile. I'm sorry, but saying that my boyfriend had been unfaithful when I had said nothing to imply that is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Asking if I wanted to be tested would've been fine, but to force the issue rubbed me the wrong way. Aside from that, I tried asking questions but he was already halfway out the door and his nurse had to go get him to bring him back.

I've seen this doctor for many years, and I have mixed feelings about my experiences. He does spend a lot of time with you and is very caring, but the way his office is run is frustrating and disappointing. His staff, with the exception of one person over in the Moscow office, are unprofessional. They've even discussed my care in front of the whole office at the front desk, which is a violation of my privacy. Nurses are hit and miss, which is who you get to talk to if any problems arise. If you leave a message for them to call you back, you may or may not get a call back. Some are knowledgeable, but others are fresh out of nursing school or dismiss your concerns. I've never had any of the doctors call me back and talk to me personally about a concern or question - the nurses rely the info back and forth, which feels like playing telephone for a worried patient. What I really dislike about this office is the lack of an on-call doctor. If you call their phone number during the night or… weekends, you are instructed to call the local hospital. That means there's no one to answer any questions from the time the office closes until the next morning. My pediatrician's office is better than their office - their doctors are on-call 24/7. You'd think with something as concerning and worrisome as pregnancy they would have an on-call doctor. But they know they are the only obgyns in the area, so they can do this and get away with it. Overall, Dr. Minudri is smart and caring, but I don't see the need to go to the office for pregnancy or health-related issues unless you are high risk. There is no guarantee that any of the docs in the office will deliver your baby (they rotate so you get whoever is in the office), which is another downer. 99% of my interactions have been with the staff and nurses because the doctors are too busy with overbooked schedules.

I can only say positive things about my experience with Dr. Minudri. I was in need of a uterine polyp removal before starting a round of IVF with a clinic in Oregon. He made room in his busy schedule to consult with me and got me on the surgery calendar in six weeks time. When I achieved a pregnancy, I saw him quite frequently and can only say positive things. I am the type of person who needs questions answered. He always did so in great detail. When I had problems, the nurses were always able to get back to me with an answer the same day. There were a couple times we had to reschedule appointments because he had to attend to a birth or emergency surgery. I was perfectly happy to do so. He's a flesh and blood human and can't be everywhere at once. I knew that when it was my time to deliver, he would be there for me. And he was. I would give him five stars if that were an option.

The best doctor I've ever had, for anything. Was a patient of his for years, until we moved away, and now all doctors seem substandard in comparison. Highly recommend, as he is a caring, compassionate, and EXCELLENT physician.

I am very angry over him. We schedules an IUI therapy and when I found a positive ovulation, he refused to perform it because his busy schedule. It is a weekend. I really dont know what he was doing. Waste my time to see such a doctor.

I have far too many good things to say about him. He is absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. He took so much time with me explaining everything in a tough situation. He made sure I was comfortable and fully informed. Best doctor EVER!

We chose to go to Minudri after the recommendation of several friends. I had a scare (heavy bleeding) early in my pregnancy and went to my local hospital (St. Joes, Lewiston) and they didn't do anything. So I called Minudri once morning came and they got me right in and did an ultrasound first thing to alleviate my fears. The wait to get in was a little long but it never bothered me because I knew that he was making sure to answer the other patients questions in full like he did mine and my husbands. Also I loved that he wasn't afraid to reccommmend things to me. He would give me the pros and cons of things and then if I wanted his opinion he would give it. I highly reccommend him. I just found out we are pregnant again and I will definitely be travelling the 45 minutes drive to his office again!

I have to say that Dr. Minudri is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. I recently experienced a miscarriage and he explained to me what was going on in a way that it kept me calm and helped me get through it so much better than I would have had if I would have dealt with it on my own. It is very hard to explain it, but he has one of those ways of talking to you to keep you calm no matter what the situation is.

I am very disappointed and angry with Dr. Minudri and Pullman-Moscow OB/GYN! I no longer go there even though I still live in Pullman. It takes 7-10 days of daily calling to get a call back from a doctor or his nurse. When I saw Dr. Minudri about my fibroids, he didn't want to give me his advice nor opinion. Dr. Minudri told me to go home, search online about my condition and treatments and then let him know what I wanted him to do. I am not a doctor - he is! He may be good when there is a healthy pregnancy and he doesn't have to deal with complications but in my case he was absolutely incompetent and refused to continue treating me after my gynecological problem caused another health issue. He was supposed to do my surgery but told me (not personally but through his nurse) to take care of the other issue first and then maybe he'll operate on me. He didnt even speak to me and didnt refer me to another doctor! Luckily, my physician sent me to another doctor in Spokane. My girlfriend has… a similar problem and was trying to make an appointment with Pullman-Moscow OB/GYN. She left a message on their machine and never got a call back. It also seems that the two offices (in Moscow and Pullman) do not have a unified system and you need to call both offices in hopes to catch a doctor and even this doesn't make him call you back. The staff was rude and told me that they could not guarantee that Dr. Minudri would call me back that day and they didn't know when he would. I am very frustrated and unhappy with Pullman-Moscow OB/GYN! If you have a more serious condition, dont even go there find another OB/GYN!

I feel confident in recommending Dr. Minudri for all your OB/GYN needs. He is an excellent doctor that really cares and is very professional. I went in apprehensive and left assured that I was in good hands.
