Dr. Sarah B Nielsen, MD

I had to look up the address for school forms and I am baffled reading these reviews. My son is 13 years old and we have been coming to this office for the last 12 years. I have seen all the Drs, and they all have their own style but as my son got older, we always requested Dr. Nielson. She is patient, asks all the right questions, gives great advice, she is thorough and I can’t understand where these other comments come from. For a minute, I thought I was looking up the wrong dr when I saw the reviews. My son feels comfortable with her and I have never had a problem.

She has no interest in children.

I saw this doctor when she worked in a group with other pediatricians. The others were very good but my children were often pushed to her because she had the most availability. She is not patient with parents who may be nervous or worried about their children. My children never seemed to care for her either. Worst of all, she missed things that other doctors saw. I’m amazed by how many people I learned in my community feel the same way I do and also point out billing issues with this doctor. I recommend protect your baby and go to a different office. Don’t waste your and your child’s time with Dr Nielsen.

We've been coming to Verona Pediatrics for close to 15 years and we've had all of the 4 physicians on staff, including Dr. Nielsen, examine and treat our children. The negative comments entered previous to this review baffle us and are contrary to our experience. Each of the 4 physicians has her or his style, without a doubt. But each, including Dr. Nielsen, has been nothing but professional, caring, communicative, and worthy of our trust. We highly recommend Verona Pediatrics and all of the doctors, including Dr. Nielsen.

disclosed my personal info to staff (i am not a patient, my son was)

bully, rude, threatening. doesn't listen. not suited to children.

Has overcharged and double charged multiple times. Wastes my time then chasing up with my insurance. Took 3 visits before they realized my daughter had a chest infection even though we kept saying she was chesty.

You should avoid this place completely. She refused to accept an appointment for my sick daughter and refused to take an update over the phone because of the bad weather. What is wrong with her?

cleanliness is not at the forefront of her mind. she had a dirty, rag of a bandage on her arm. She barely "washed" her hands. She has a superiority complex for someone of mediocre intelligence. talks over you. this trait has transmitted to her rude staff. it feels like she is collecting points for sending/deferring patients to local hospitals. Children's welfare is at total odds with this sub-human thing. Besides all this, she dictates, bullies and threatens parents. I only wished I'd reviewed more sites before going to her as I can see that there are many similar reviews like this.

She criticized my teenage daughters weight. She is in no way fat and actually very sporty. I later found her throwing up! She had stuck her fingers down her throat. She was so upset at what this "doctor" said. I am considering legal action. This is not right.
