Dr Scott Desman

Dr. Scott Desman is a very kind and knowledgeable Orthopaedic. He is very compassionate - even gives the cortisone shots HIMSELF! I have meniscus tears in my knee... The level of care I receive is amazing and he is always willing to take the time to explain what is going on by showing my Xrays and pointing out what he is talking about. His/our goal is to keep me from surgery for as long as I can and amiable control of arthritis pain. I am very happy to have him on my side for medical needs. His new facility in Port St. Lucie is AWESOME and much easier to get to.?

6 weeks out and i'm 100%. No mobility problems and absolutely no pain.

I am 49 years old (6' 240 lbs) athletic build. I had been in severe pain for over a year with fluid above the knee. Arthritis had eaten away the cartilage and meniscus was basically gone. Dr. Desman does a modern procedure where a computer cuts the bone and the recovery time is amazing. I was literally up walking just hours after the surgery. It is now 2 months post-op and I walk 100% pain free. I went back to the gym 3 weeks ago (light weights for now) and feel great! Highly recommend!

When I found Dr. Desman I was sleep deprived and in constant pain. After replacing both hips and looking forward to replacing one or both knees I feel 70-80 percent less pain and am hopeful that the knee procedures will help the remaining pain. This Doc. knows his business and his staff is pleasant and helpful.

Dr. Desman performed my hip replacement. I've always been very physical, and I was very concerned, and a little bit scared. When I went for my first visit, the level of professionalism of all of his staff, and the high level of his equipment brought in an extreme level of confidence. Going through the operation, and now in post op 3 weeks, I walk times better than I did before. I feel like a kid who broke his harm, it totally recovered, so now doesn't know which arm broke in the first place

My Makoplasty (medial knee) has exceeded my expectations. I was able to go home the same day. I was up immediately and walking comfortably after 3 days without walking assistance. I returned to work in 4 weeks, full duty. The pain was much less than I expected and I have incredible range of motion already. I know I have more improvement ahead, but if all progress stopped here - I would still be very happy. Your staff was amazing and supportive. Wait times were inside of 10-20 minutes. As a patient and a nurse, I highly recommend Dr Desman.

Dr. Desmon performed knee resurfacing surgery on both of my knees with excellent results. I have been able to resume my activities (hiking, biking, kayaking) within 2-3 months of surgery and physical therapy. I recommend him and South Florida Orthopaedics physical therapy.
