The staff were very accommodating considering an emergency situation. I was treated very professionally, including that they broke up my exams between two days so that i could get some over with in order to see Dr. Richins sooner. Dr. Richins listened thoroughly and made some very useful referral recommendations and had an appointment for me with the difficult to see referral before i left.

I especially like that the doctor's all seem to care about my eye health and provided me with all the information and materials I needed to make the best choice for my eyes. From the reception desk to the technicians, the doctor and the checkout, I was well taken care of. I appreciate the people in the billng department for answering all my questions and simplifying the insurance process.

I have no doubt Dr. Richens knows her stuff, but after working with this office for years, I finally wised up. I have a daughter with strabismus and we went to the many expensive and pointless checkups. She finally had a surgery that didn't work. We didn't have insurance and were paying out of pocket and there was NO consideration for helping us avoid overexpendature. However, what makes me more frustrated than all the wasted money, was the fact that patients are scheduled EVERY 10 MINUTES even though appointments obviously take much longer. So, by noon, they are already 2 hours behind. So I asked for the first appointment of the day which is 8:20 AM and had to schedule 6 months out to get it. I thought we would see the doctor right away. We waited in the exam room for 30 minutes at which time I went to the bathroom and passed Dr. Richens arriving for the day at 9 AM with her coffee and 4 patients already waiting in exam rooms. Despicable. This is how this office is run every… day. Enough is Enough. We switched to Dr. Jason Hendrix and I wish we had done it LONG ago.

I am so impressed with Dr Sharon Richens and her staff. I was extremely apprehensive when cataract surgery was suggested, it ended up being the very best dicission of my life. Dr Richens was amazing in the surgery. The entire staff has been equal to her in the post op care. I have complete confidence and trust in their recommendations, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I found this office to be pathetic, I know strong word, but from the start, having to make 2 visits before the proper diagnosis, to not giving me the full costs before hand, having to pay a thousand dollars out of my pocket before my surgery, to NO after care at all, not even a call to set up an appointment to remove a stint in my eye, to not honoring what my insurance company said I should pay. Totally a waste of my time, plus the surgery was not properly done. A shining example of how poor the medical system is in the USA.

Dr. Richens performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The level of care and attention I received from Dr. Richens and her staff was truly exceptional. She is very well trained and qualified, but at the same time she is also extremely caring and attentive. Her entire staff reflects her professional demeanor. The building and equipment are brand new and state of the art. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Richens as my eye doctor.

I think the two previous negative comments were written by the same person, so beware. Dr. Richens is outstanding; she is intelligent, courteous, personable, and caring. I know this because I have been in to see her several times. She is a very comprehensive ophthalmologist, and does refer to specialists when necessary.

Even though I had to wait a long time at a couple of appoitments, I was brought right in when I was having pain following a surgery. No waiting what so ever. Wonderful staff and wonderful Dr. She spent time answering all of my questions and was very reasuring. She did a great job of my three surgeries. Very caring and easy to talk to. Love her

presents herself as a retinal and corneal specialist; however, she is a generalist. be careful when scheduling an appointment with this MD; she misrepresents her abilities to her patients

Dr. Richins presents herself as a Retinal Specialist as well as a Corneal Specialist...both are faulse. Watch out for this physician; she preys on the elderly and recommends needless surgery
