Dr. Stanley G Hom, MD

I went to go see Doctor Hom for some shoulder pain I had been experiencing. He gave me a cortisone shot and the pain improved over the next week. I am amazed at the improvement of my shoulder. I am now back at work with a good as new shoulder.

I have been treated for a pinched nerve making progress. Workman's comp sent me to Dr. Hom. He twisted and banged on my arm causing inflammation to my shoulder I am now back where I started on meds and in extreme pain. I will not let that man touch me again. He had all my documentation and was not informed at all. First do no harm

Lack of compassion and pure arrogance is how I would describe Dr. Hom. What a waste of time and money! Waited 15 minutes and he spent 5 minutes to tell me I could live with my pain! I would never recommend him to anyone.

I broke my finger this year. I was very upset about it because it was the first bone I'd ever broken. I met with Dr. Stanley Hom and he explained my options very clearly - either to set it and cast it, or have surgery. But at first he didn't really give me his opinion, he just said surgery would cause more bleeding and scarring but would make the bones straighter. Since this was my first break, I couldn't decide what to do. I have him set it and cast it but then got a second opinion hoping to get someone to tell me what I should do. Well my second opinion certainly did tell me what I should do, and he said to have surgery and then possibly have another surgery to remove scar tissue, as if that was the only logical option... I went back to Dr. Hom and he said he is a surgeon , that is how he makes his money - if he thought I should get surgery he would tell me, if he's telling me I don't need it, I don't. He didn't think the surgery would be worth it considering all the bleeding and… scarring that could result in limited mobility, so I ended up deciding against it. It has been months and my finger healed great! Better than even expected with no real mobility issues and you can't even tell it was broken. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hom.

I was sent to Dr. hom by workers comp as a 2nd opinion for a shoulder injury. He obviously sided with workers comp b/c they paid him $500 for a 15 minute appointment.He wrote false things in his report and said he wanted to give injections to correct the calcific tendonitis....I was send to a 3rd surgeon and was diagnosed with Extreme shoulder instability.(arm was hanging 75% out of the socket) He held up my surgery that I needed for 11 months. Thank you for abusing your license in exchange for money!

Dr. Hom has exceptional bedside manner. My son had a torn tendon in his finger which required nine weeks of splinting, and Dr. Hom took his time to explain everything in a thorough and caring way. He is knowledgeable and extremely informative. We never felt rushed and he took his time to answer all of our questions. His office staff is equally kind, friendly and considerate. There was no wait either time we visited, and we were greeted with smiles. Dr. Hom and his office staff have our deepest respect for their courteous manner and professionalism. We even accidentally missed a follow up appointment, and when I called to apologize and reschedule, they could not have been more understanding and gracious about it. I highly recommend Dr. Hom and his great office staff to anyone in need of a hand specialist and a pleasant office visit!
