Dr. Thomas Gerard Habiger

Dr. Habiger diagnosed my mother with a rare neurological disorder that caused her to gradually lose her ability to control the movement of her limbs (a movement disorder). She suffered terribly over 2.5 years before she passed away. She had gone in to see Dr. Habiger after she fell off her bicycle. Since she was so active, she did not expect anything majorly wrong. Once in the office, Dr. Habiger examined her and made his diagnosis. He then proceeded to write the name of her disease on a sticky note, left the room, and did not come back. He did not bother to explain to her what the disease was or what it would do to her. She had to go home and Google the name of the disease he had written on the sticky note. How any human being, especially a doctor, could do that to another human being is mind-blowing. Sure, Dr. Habiger may have made an accurate diagnosis of a rare disorder, but the part that is completely unforgivable is the fact that he had no compassion to explain the… disease to my mom or provide her any measure of comfort. Would you want that for yourself or anyone you love? In my mind, he is really not suitable for treating humans.

I have seen him today for the first time. I really liked him. He does all of his work including work an MA would do. He was not rushed and asked a lot of questions. He was very nice and professional.

I found Dr. Thomas Habiger, MD to be thorough, very specific in his evaluation of my medical issues. He explained to me the effects of some of medications I was taking. He also recommended I have three bloods test completed to be on the safe side. He would send a note to my primary doctor in Chandler. I would rate Dr. H. an 8 on a scale from 1-10. Some people cannot be helped and others refuse to listen.

Dr. Habiger recommended his pt. be placed into a locked memory care facility without seeing his pt. in 13 months. His pt. was continuously improving & living on his own. The Dr. believed a note written by a friend of the pt. alleging incapacitation of his pt. The pt. is far from incapacitation.
