Dr. Tik Ka Lisa Ng, MD

Wait time was horrible. Receptionist was friendly and nice. Nurse who took me back was nice. They both seemed to be doing a lot of work for just two people. Red flag for me was in hearing Dr Ng speak to her staff with such an unkind nasty tone. In the exam room- she was rushed, condescending and did not seem to look at me or hear my questions. I will not go back to her. It’s a shame I liked the location and the staff seemed to be very friendly with the patients but Dr Ng was not worth my wait time.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Ng for many years and she has been a wonderful source of advice. She listens to her patients and remembers their history. Amazing!

Dr Ng is a very kind and compassionate doctor. She takes extra time and always listens and answers questions. The staff in this office truly makes this office great. The receptionist and nursing staff are all such fun. It is a great reflection on the office that the staff make coming to the office a good experience.

Ng and Mathur are very good doctors; however, the office management is so outdated. I haven't seen more paper in an office since 1983! Staff is insufficient--need someone to manage the office and add the latest technology--they are so backwards in the digital era. Was told we couldn't get prescription sent electronically to pharmacy--when pharmacy clearly indicated that it could. What's worse, since the office is so antiquated, test results take very long to receive results--in fact, my levels from a routine blood test were off for at least three years before it was noted only after I had more symptoms. After signing up for lab portal I discovered the findings. This prolonged treatment for a condition which requires surgery. Unacceptable. I truly believe that the doctors are fabulous, but because of the way the office operates, the follow-up is awful. We left.

I made appt. 4 weeks ahead, called the day of, to check. Office person said I had no appt. She gave me another for 2 weeks away. I was not greeted, asked about insurance. Sat on table for 30 minutes waiting for " lunch with a rep". by doctor. I will now change MDs.

Dr. Ng is a great doctor. Been seeing her for years. Staff is less than stellar and wait times can be long at times. But she will spend plenty of time with you and answer all your questions. Great bedside manner.

I like Dr. Ng because she is a good listener and addresses any concerns. However, the office staff is a different story. The nurses do not call back when they said they would and it should not take a patient, who has medial concerns, to call several times a day for 2+ weeks straight to get an answer. The staff in general needs to be refreshed to give substantial customer service (receptionists are not very courteous neither especially in person). I don't know if you are under-staffed or if the nurses get re-certified every so often (I hope you do require that of the nurses), but please do something about it. Is sad that you are good with patients as a doctor but your staff negatively affects your practice!

Not that concerned with follow up. In most instances I don't need it. The staff / doctor always calls me back with lab results though and discuss next steps if any needed.

I almost can't imagine the negative review from 2008 being true. I have been seeing Dr. Ng for about 5 years and I have never seen her rude, condescending, or overbearing to ANYONE, ever. She does not rush you, is very thorough, and is very caring and compassionate. She makes you feel very comfortable and I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She is a great doctor. Sometimes the wait times can be a little annoying, but that's a small price to pay in my opinion.
