Dr. Tom Patrick Coker, MD

This is not a response to one visit but to a 6 month fracture to recovery. Dr Tom was always pleasant and concerned for his patient’s positive outcome. He will answer questions and give precise answers that are clear. My surgery was not in the norm of his usual but he was very patient and supported my medical needs for a better outcome than I thought was probable. My fractured knee was painful and as I turned 75 during the postoperative recovery period I was really pleased that I can get around as well as I am. He and both agreed that patients with medical backgrounds are not always the best of patients. As a RN of 55+ years I thought I knew about knee fractures but when you are the patient you sometimes forget what you know and need a little extra support which he supplied. And let just say that if you have a Dx of severe osteoporesis please learn all you can about your dietary needs, follow your physician’s directions, take prescribe meds as ordered, monitor your balance needs, stay… active and wear appropriate shoes. Keep your homes safe too; no flying carpets to sleep on. Sorry for the education by an old nurse but why risk injury on things you can prevent. Mainly work with your physician by following their care orders for you and ask questions when you have them. It is your medical problem and you need to know that you are responsible for actively participating in helping your doctor help you recover to the highest level possible. Dr Cocker and his staff were supportive all the way. My only issue was the long ride from Fayetteville to Fort Smith. I could feel every bump. Oh well I am walking again and driving is next.

Dr. Coker did an excellent job of diagnosing my condition and prescribing the appropriate treatment. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Coker was the utmost professional and listened to me and got to the point of things right away. I loved his sarcastic sense of humor. He gave me advice and options for course of treatment. The wait time was very short. I was in and out in 30 minutes.

Dr. Tom Coker is simply the best as far as I am concerned. l suffered a painful meniscus injury for which local specialists offered a 2 month wait for evaluation. Dr. Tom Coker treated the injury with a sense of urgency. I will recommend him to others at every opportunity.

Listen to me really Listen!! Answered all my questions until I understood. Great bedside manner. Even Answered my husband's questions. His first response was not surgery or more tests! Give my body time to heal itself. I have already recommended him and will continue too.
