The stated goal of Dr Prokurat and Dr Kammerer and their office is “to make every experience truly exceptional”. This office and this surgeon nailed it! From the first call to appointments to surgery to initial recovery to post op… this team is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and professional. Dr Kammerer is punctual, greets you in the waiting room, spends ample time asking and answering questions, assessing, reviewing medical records, and setting up next steps. My patient path took me to many doctors before I met him and he is the best of the best. He is extremely knowledgeable yet explains things in easy to understand language. He demonstrates careful decision making and wisdom when formulating a plan following protocol for my specific condition. Despite a grueling schedule he was present and caring while I was in the hospital. He was reassuring and put my recovery in perspective when I felt as though I was struggling. As a seasoned professional nurse for over 30 years I… have interacted with many doctors. I can honestly say Dr. Kammerer is one of a kind and I am grateful he was my surgeon during a very scary time. I’m glad he teamed up with Dr Prokurat!

I had gastric bypass and hernia repair surgery with Dr. Prokurat over 8 years ago and he is by far the most competent and caring surgeon I have ever experienced. I felt completely confident going into the surgery because he took the time to carefully explain everything and answer my questions. His post-surgery care was exceptional and the followup over the years shows he truly cares for each of his patients. I am looking at another possible abdominal surgery (unrelated) and even though I've moved and he is over an hour away now, I wouldn't consider another surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Prokorat’s care has been and will always be one of the best I have ever received. He is experienced, takes the time out to answer your questions, very knowledgeable, skilled surgeon and makes you feel important with the utmost respect. I Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Prokurat is truly one of a kind. He saved my dad's life twice. First time in 2011 we came to ER with what turned to be Gallbladder stones and Doctor was on call surgeon. Second time, recently, my dad had to have hemicolectomy to remove cancerous tumor. When we found out that Dr. Prokurat is available and will perform the surgery, somehow i knew that my dad will be fine. Doctor explained the procedure, took time to answer all questions and the stress of upcoming journey and unpleasant diagnosis went away. While in hospital, doctor visited dad daily- early mornings, midday in surgery scrubs, late nights. Always honest, full of empathy, never rushed. Helped with many more small hiccups that were coming up during recovery. His office personnel (which i found, very important) also very nice and helpful. Highly recommend. Brilliant surgeon, and most importantly compassionate human being.
