Dr William Carlson

Dr Carlson replaced my hip in 2009. My fault for not knowing of the less invasive which I would have went with. I had him do my shoulder a few yrs before and thought he knew what he was doing. A month after my hip surgery my hip popped out. I can't explain the pain. Took a few minutes to get back in place by pounding on the hip. Went back and dr refused to believe it could happen. This has happened two to three times a year since, and many witnesses that it has happened. I recently went to a DR in MN because I can't put up with it any longer, and after X-rays and CT scans, was told that the socket was placed at a wrong angle and I need to go through the surgery all over again. Thank you Dr Carlson for 7 yrs of pain and agony. I have to be so very careful of How I bend or move so that it hopefully won't pop out but never know when it will until I get it redone. If you have to have a hip replaced, go with the less invasive or it could happen to you. Too bad we have to give at least one… star!

He did both of my shoulder replacements with no issues whatsoever. His PA usually sees you after the surgery for check ups unless there is a problem. In my opinion he is the best there is!

From the nurse to the doctor, felt as though no one was listening. Sent for x-rays of my shoulder even though I said it started with my hand. The doctor didn't talk and didn't appear to listen. He stared at the computer the entire time and seemed uninterested. I think it's time for him to retire.
