Dr. Edan Yodfat, MD

Dr. Yodfat performed my surgery a few months ago and the entire time he guided me through everything with grace. He constantly displayed proficient knowledge in his field and made me feel at ease at all times. The day of the procedure he and his team made an even greater impression on my family members who in the medical field as well. My operation was a success and my recovery has been great. I am now living with a better quality of life because of his help. I would recommend anyone to him going forward.

I needed a hysterectomy badly. I selected Dr. Edan Yodfat because of his affiliation with Maimonides hospital. They have the Bloodless surgery program. I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and I don’t except Blood Transfusions. I felt safe with Dr. Yodfat because he took extra care regarding my case knowing I didn’t except blood transfusions. He never viewed my objection as a road block. However, he would not operate on me unless my blood levels / numbers were within a safe range. I actually saw a hematologist for 1. 5 months to get my blood levels prepared for surgery. Dr. Yodfat made sure he was in contact with the hematologist until it was safe to operate. I never doubted his abilities as a surgeon. The day of surgery, he made sure the cell savage machine was in the room. I never felt uneasy in his care. He will answer all your questions even while he’s on vacation. He’s a good doctor :)

Dr. Edan was a great doctor, he was very patient with my operation and very friendly. When I asked questions he gave me valid answers and I will be glad to Bring someone else to him.

I recently had a hysterectomy done due to excessive bleeding, constant pelvic pain, and fibroids. I met with Dr. Yodfat and he explained in detail the procedure and answered all my questions that put me at ease. The procedure done was LAVH (Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy. The day of the surgery Dr. Yodfat and his team once again explained the procedure. Surgery was a success and I went home at the end of the day. Dr. Yodfat even followed up with me the next day

Dr. Yodfat is a highly competent doctor. I've seen him only when he delivered me and I felt very lucky to have him deliver our baby girl. He's a consummate professional. He's definitely patient, direct, and he doesn't make me feel silly for any questions I ask about my health, pregnancy, or delivery. He also knows what's best because I had a long labor and delivery he made sure to steer us in a direction where my energy was not depleted and I could deliver vaginally. I had a Total abdominal hysterectomy on July 25th, everything went according to plan. He was very thorough in explaining what was going to happen..what could possibly happen & how I was going to feel. Unfortunately for me a small part of incision didn't heal but he assigned home care & I see him weekly so the healing process can continue smoothly. Very nice doctor, makes the process easier to deal with!

Talks down to you, patronizing, doesn't listen to complaints, too rough with speculum and hand aggressively pushed in, leaves you laying vulnerably while he does other things, refused STD testing (some diseases cause long term or permanent damage) and tells you there is nothing wrong (i had a bad infection both times, and needed to be seen by another doctor for treatment). Unbelievably bad experience. I recommend no matter what not seeing him.

Dr. Yodfat was amazing and we felt very lucky to have him deliver our baby boy. His bedside manner is impeccable and he really made me feel comfortable. He is funny and engaging. He also lays everything out for you so you can make an informed decision. Dr. Yodfat delivered our healthy, beautiful baby girl. He made both myself and my husband feel so comfortable during our pregnancy checks ups and in labor. I trust his advice, judgment calls and capability.
