Dr. Edmund G. Grant, MD

After more than one year of vague, insidious symptoms with my health, and an abundance of doctor appointments and tests, where I was given questionable diagnoses, I became very frustrated. I was even told my medical problems were all in my mind. Finally, fate was kind to me and I was referred to Dr. E. Grant. His office staff was welcoming and very helpful. My appointment was on time with no waiting. Dr. Grant gave a focused, in-depth exam and within 15 minutes he presented a diagnosis. He was very thorough in his questioning and data collection to help better understand my medical needs. He then very patiently explained to my husband and me about the disease process and that is a progressive disease that is not curable, but treatable. He then added that he will be there to help walk the path with us. Dr. Grant took time to listen to us and ask questions. He also reassured us to contact him if any other questions/concerns arouse. The exam was very extensive on my first visit, and… all subsequent visits. He ordered a battery of tests to rule out/or confirm the diagnosis. He also sent me to Shands Teaching Hospital where my condition was verified. I have personally worked in the health care services 45(+) years, and I have worked with many physicians. I immediately realized Dr. Grant to be an excellent doctor who cares about his patients with a holistic attitude. We are always given a copy of his dictated notes to review when we come home. Dr. Grant is the most knowledgeable, caring, hospitable physician I have ever met! I even recommended Dr. Grant, to a long-time friend, and to anyone in need of a competent, compassionate Neurologist. His staff is very through, prompt, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. All of my phone calls are returned promptly and when I have a question, his staff, especially Carrie, goes above and beyond to help. I'm so glad I was referred to Dr. Grant. He has been my physician for 2.5 years now, and I foresee many more years to come. He has a dry wit that makes appointments enjoyable. Dr. Grant is a fine human being as well as physician. He keeps me abreast of exactly what is going on. He is a master of his craft and I trust his skills, implicitly.

Dr. Grant is, far and away, the most thorough physician I have ever been to. He was on time, told me exactly what he was going to do, dictated his remarks during the appointment while looking at my brain scan. He was efficient without being brusque and I left his office with a hard copy of his impression of my condition and necessary referrals. If all physicians exhibited the thoroughness and thoughtfulness of Dr. Grant, there would be no complaints about medical care.

He did the most thorough exam I've had to date, asked questions about my condition as well as what my expectations are. Followed up with some additional blood tests when he got all my records and followed up on the results with me. One of the best.

Best neurologist in Tampa area. Proper diagnosis & treatments applied. Changed my life in reducing migraine frequency. Highly recommend Dr. Grant!

Knowledgable and thorough

Dr. Grant has called us after hours to report test results. His documentation must be excellent because he was able to get a private insurance company to approve IVIG therapy. He was able to diagnose a very rare medical condition that other doctors had missed. He is honest, and compassionate-but he will let you know how your prognosis will affect your daily activities.

I was Dr Grant's patient for 22 years before moving out of state. I have to say I have never been to a better office. I would and have recommended him to others. It is the one thing that I will miss in FL

I have been suffering from migrains for over 20 years. Nothing seemed to help. Dr. Grant was able to see me as a new patient the very next day after a brief stay in the ER. He and his staff were very caring and knowledgable about my condition. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm not familiar with the area, and his nurse realizing this,actually drove me to my to my next appointment. Dr.Grant even called me at my home to follow up on the medication he prescribed. Highly recommended!!
