Dr. Edmundo Santos Jesalva, MD

Dr. Jesalva is brilliant at what he does. He knows meds like no one else out there. He is caring and extremely dedicated to his patients. I have been seeing him for over twelve years.

In this crazy world we live in, combined with how one's emotions are in the midst of a crisis, it may be easy to give up. You may be tempted to Dr shop. My advice, dont! Stay the course with Dr. Jesalva. I know from decades that he cares and has a heart of gold. If anyone knows meds, it's Dr. Jesalva. He will bring you back and you then will understand what I mean. Trust! Stay the course!

The best psychiatrist I have seen to date. He cares about his patients. He listens and has belief in what they tell him. Words cannot describe what he and Sally have done to help me. He will stop at nothing to make you feel like yourself again. Receptive and well-educated. I highly recommend Dr. Jesalva. Where other psychiatrists fail, he thrives and allows you to live the life you well deserve.

Dr. Jesalva is expensive and only cares about your money. He wants to see you every month for about 10 minutes to ask you the same questions. During your visit, he seems apathetic, checked out, and bored. Sally Jesalva is in charge of scheduling appointments and communication. She is incredibly rude and constantly overcharges your credit card without any price breakdown or receipts. Consider yourself lucky if Dr. Jesalva or Sally responds to any of your emails, text messages, or phone calls. I explained to Sally that I am struggling financially due to COVID-19 and would like to see Dr. Jesalva every three months. She said, “if you don’t like our prices, then you are welcome to find another psychiatrist.” Shortly after, Dr. Jesalva refused to refill my prescription, and I went into withdrawals and had to visit urgent care. I then asked him for my medical record, and he refused, so I reported him to the medical board. When I needed him to sign my short-term disability paperwork, he… refused even though I was suffering because of his inadequate care. This man should have his license taken away for unethical conduct and negligence.

This psychiatrist somehow managed to prescribe me the wrong medication and I'm sure he has done this to other people. I know this because I've talked to other Psychiatrists about the medication and they agree that he was way off. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he gets Big Pharma kickbacks and doesn't really care about his patients.

I cannot believe this person holds a medical license. While treating my teenage son for his ADHD, he ignored my son's anxiety disorder even after I spoke personally with him and give him a copy of the official, 32 page Psycho-Educational Evaluation that was recently given to him at his high school. The school psycho-educational specialist warned me strongly of the dangers of someone with both ADHD and an anxiety disorder. She strongly warned that he must have either behavioral therapy and/or take a mood regulator to treat his anxiety as the ADHD medication will make his anxiety worse. My son does not want to take anxiety medications along with his ADHD meds because he says it makes him slow on the field and tired. He also refuses to go to therapy. I've shared this with Dr. Jesalva along with my concerns that my son may be using his ADHD medications to stay up and study and "push through" his hectic schedule. I've voiced my concerns that this could lead to his abusing his… prescriptions. However, because he is 17, I cannot force my son to change his treatment and Jesalva will not support my concerns. And further undermined my parental authority by discounting my concerns directly to my son. Then, he gave him three refill prescriptions all at once and told him to make a follow up appointment in three months!

Fantastic. We had been to Psychiatrist and Psychologist and Marriage Counselors for years and in 3 visits, he nailed it. Life was changed for us a a couple by being referred to Dr. Jesalva by our primary physician.

I decided to give this clown a shot based on the previous single good review. If that lady thinks this idiot is good then I would really hate to see what she considers bad. Use at your own risk. This guy puts on a good show at the start and gives the impression he is the best thing to come along since the wheel. But once you are in his treatment, that's when the problems start.

This is my third experience with a new psych and i ask myself "why did i waste so much time with the other two idiots?" Dr. J listened to my history and actually cared what i've been thru. Was not arrogant or condescending with my care. I'm glad i finally found the right MD for me.
