Dr. Edra A Cameron Hewitt, MD

Avoid Dr. Cameron Hewitt at all costs. He is arrogant, confrontational, bullying and totally unprofessional. I am a 78-year-old veteran who went to Hewitt for a hearing test and evaluation for a claim I am making with the VA which requires a letter from a hearing specialist. When I made my appointment, Hewitt’s receptionist told me to bring the letter with me, so I drafted a letter based on a VA sample letter. After the hearing test was completed, Hewitt stormed into the waiting room and angrily demanded to know how I dared to presume he would ever sign a letter he had not written himself. He talked over me and would not listen when I tried to explain that his staff had told me to bring it. Then, in front of his staff, he accused me of faking the hearing test in order to bilk the VA. All this in spite of my hearing being so demonstrably bad that I can barely hold a conversation and my tinnitus is so severe that I can’t believe it doesn’t keep my wife awake at night!

Dr. Cameron Hewitt is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable. I do a lot of internet research so I have a lot of questions and verify the information I receive from all doctors. he never rushes with you which is why you may have to wait sometimes a few minutes past your appointment to see him. But it is worth the wait.i wish I could clone all of my doctors to be like Dr. Hewitt. The staff at the Decatur office and the Gwinnett office is always courteous.

I had a bad sinus problem for years. I had seen regular MD's and other ENT doctors with no success. Dr. Hewitt was recommended to me and I went to him. He was excellent! He listened to what I had to say and then examined me. He located my problem, which was an abnormal septum that stayed infected and inflamed. He put me on an antibiotic gel for two weeks and then gave me a spray to use daily. This completely eliminated my symptoms. I would recommend him to anyone. He was all you could ask for in a Doctor. I had a horrible experience with this ENT. He sent me home with an ear infection and no prescriptions. I had a hard time getting a hold of him. When the prescription was sent in, it was wrong. My ear got worse and worse and the pain was unbearable. I would not recommend.

I go to Dr. Hewitt twice a year for ear wax cleaning. His office staff are super friendly and my wait time is never long. Dr. Hewitt is a very caring doctor who always makes me feel welcome!

Dr. Hewitt improved my breathing ability with a procedure that opened up my nasal passages.

Him and his staff made me feel very comfortable and in good hands.

For years I suffered from seasonal URI . Usual treatment is antibiotics and steroids with over the counter comfort enhancers. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Hewitt who quickly gave the proper diagnosis of blocked sinus and suggested the real cure would be surgery. He performed Septoplasty-Turbinate surgery and after the proper post- op recovery, I , so far, have not had a repeat of the infections . Very professional, attention to details of status during post - op and sincere care for his patients. This display of professionalism is evidenced by all of his staff as well.
